I'm here! This entry will be an honest reflection on my whole year, it's gonna be long, so here's a prior warning. If words work better than sleeping pills for you, you can stop here! =P Hahaha.

Well, it's been helluva year, a really bitter sweet, fast-paced one year. The past 364 plus days or so haven't been fantastic, but neither were they torturous. There were definitely the depressing, pressuring moments but of course, the wonderful times aren't to be forgotten. I guess that's why this year has been a memorable one!

07S34
To be really honest, I didn't feel too close with the class at the start of this year. For some reason, I felt that I didn't bond with anyone at all haha. Perhaps I was too preoccupied with CO (CO was really my life during that time), or perhaps I simply didn't put in any effort to get to know everyone better. Especially during the SYF and post-SYF periods, I felt that there was some invisible wall between the class and myself. All I cared for was CO, I would countdown to dismissal every Wednesday so that I could dash off for CO, I would spend such long periods in the CO room instead of having meals with the class. To put it simply, there was just this distance between my classmates and me. Haha things only got better around July or so, but I've no idea why too. I guess I finally decided to get out of my self-dug hole and start talking to people lol! By the time promos came, S34 kind of became my life! Hahaha yeah, the class was really my motivation to study for the promos. 'Cos I really didn't want to be retained and say goodbye to such a wonderful class. Promos was a really tough moment for me, struggling to get promoted with the high probability of being retained staring at me right in the face. But if it weren't for these moments, I wouldn't have felt the genuine care and concern from my classmates, and I probably might not have appreciated them as much as I do now. Yep, I'm really thankful to have met the few of you! Thank you... Audrey Han, who frequently reminded me to study and do my work, not forgetting praying for me everyday! You're one of the nicest classmates I've ever, ever had too! :) Sharon, who constantly encouraged and consoled me, and checking on my revision presently for my R papers lol. Huijin, who tries to teach me Chemistry (but as she said, more like FORCING me to do Chemistry lol). Chia Wen, for her constant encouragement! And of course, all my other beloved classmates who have shown much concern for me. Hahaha. S34, I love you! Lol. :D

VJCO
As I mentioned earlier, VJCO was really my life at the beginning of the year lol. The one and only reason I ever looked forward to going to school was 'cos there was CO on that day. Also, being the SYF year, everything's just more memorable. Haha the SYF period was one of pressure, sweat, tears and growth for me. I guess it was the period that I broke down the most too lol. Thank you so much Mr Tay, for always believing in me. Even when I was still screwing up my little solo just a few days before SYF, you still had faith in me. I was really touched then. Each time you told me that I'd improved, it really made my day. And in the end, I did it! Haha. Of course, thank you to all the seniors who kept encouraging me, and to everyone else for all your help. The big day was a disappointing one 'cos we didn't bring back the Honours, but we did our best! We have loads to be proud of. :) I admit, my attitude hasn't been all too wonderful after the seniors left. Every time I stepped into the CO room, I'd feel really disappointed with the attendace. But I believe hope has come in the form of our juniors, so I'm looking forward to practices again! Haha.
EXCO
There's really nothing much to mention, 'cos I don't feel like I've actually contributed at all. I still recall our sharing session a few weeks ago, where I admitted that I suck as an SL (and I still think so). And speaking of that, I think I never said it but I'll say it now. JOLIE! You were an awesome SL! And that's from the bottom of my heart. Haha. If you think you're an imbecile, I'm worse, really. BUT I promise to step up and DO MY JOB PROPERLY. I've already prepared many practice pieces for sectionals, so no one will be slacking again! Lol.

DHSCO
I miss DHSCO loads!!!! It's such a joy going back for alumni practices to prepare for the annual concert. I just love the feeling of performing on stage at Victoria Concert Hall with DHSCO. I felt really great performing during this year's concert, and I'm looking forward to next year's! Guess it'll be my last performance with DHSCO, so I'll cherish it. Even though the songs kinda suck (I'm talking about Xi Bei Wu Qu or whatever it's called)... Hahaha. Oh, and the EZCO camp was a terrific experience too. Love the kids! :D

VJC is a great school, with great people, great friends. But being in VJC has made me miss the teachers in DHS TREMENDOUSLY. And of course, I miss Mr Sng soooooooooo much! He's such a nice principal, who genuinely cares for the students, unlike some elitist........................ Yup. And the teachers, who were also genuinely concerned for me, and not for the reputation of the school. They really wanted me to just give my best. This is so unlike some teacher(s) I know, who are totally blind to any improvements I've made, and only want to see the results. Any idea how hurt I am when someone repeatedly says my results are LAN (lousy)? Well they are, actually, seeing that I got a U for Chemistry, but can't you give me like 1% credit for the improvements I made for the other subjects? I guess not, 'cos after all, I entered through DSA and not with my results. On top of that, you're just an unreasonable b**** and that's understandable. Speaking of teachers though, there's one teacher who has been helping me so much all this while, and I really wanna thank her for all that. Mdm Wee... Thank you for being so patient with me, giving me so much encouragement. I'm deeply sorry for the trouble I've given you. You're an awesome teacher, and I really do not want to disappoint you, but.... Argh, God bless my R papers.

School stuff aside, I'm loving my family so much more each day. Hahaha. Which explains the fact that I actually stayed at my grandfather's house to play with my cousins, something I've not done since Sec 1.

On the whole, it's been an eventful year with its fair share of ups and downs, and I'm really thankful for all the people around me. Thank God for everything and everyone. I love all you people! Here's to a great 2008! :D

It's 5.12am now, I took forever typing this post. Lol.

Wow, it's gonna be the last day of 2008 soon! Hahaha stayed tuned for my annual year-end reflections and new year resolutions! Lol.

Saturday, December 29, 2007

Good morning to the world, the sun has risen and I'm awake! Rather, I have not slept. Gonna hit the sack soon. Wahahax.
Lol! Vivian asked me if I'm gonna get my driver's license. I told her that if I do get it, I'll fetch her to DHS for CO! Wow, thinking of this idea, ain't it so cool! And I can go back to have a look at the same time. Nice thought to motivate me to get my license. LOL.

Why am I thinking of such stuff when I have my R papers to worry about?
Haha. I'm still up at this unearthly hour, talking to Vivian, who's still not asleep hmm. I wonder who the "someone" who tagged my board is. I have a feeling that I may have an idea, but well. Haha. I was so surprised to see NICHOLAS tagging on my board, like how the hell did he find his way here! Smart, I must say. By the way, Nicholas is my 11-year-old cousin who cheats playing Bridge, Vivian's brother, funny kid. HAHAHA.

Damn, I have no idea why, but my left hand hurts like HELL. Please don't tell me I'm about to be paralysed, that wasn't in my Christmas wish list, I'd rather it happen to be right hand, then I will not have to do my R papers.

Haha anyway, 2008 is coming! And this post is totally random. Lol.
Bonjour! I promise that this will be my silliest and random-est post ever.

I just love my Nokia N73 phone! It has soooooooo many functions that ultimately lag up my whole phone and it's so user-friendly and............... Yep, I love Nokia! Nokia Nokia Nokia!

WHEE!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!! SANTA'S IN TOWN! :D :D :D

Sunday, December 23, 2007

There was the Guanyue BBQ at my house yesterday. Went to meet Jolie and Chi Heem at Parkway before that to buy all the food and BBQ stuff. We went to Giant, and then began the arduous task of walking here and there, back and forth to search for the stuff. Ah seriously, I hate grocery shopping! 'Cos I never know what to buy, and I have not a single clue on how to choose potatoes and corn HAHA. According to Cuiying, the corn chosen by Jolie and approved by me wasn't too good. Lol!

We left Chi Heem at my grandfather's house starting the fire, then went to fetch the rest from Eunos MRT. I couldn't recognise the Year 3s man, maybe other than 1 or 2. Haha. Yup went back to my grandfather's house and the BBQ began. But it rained halfway (talk about being unfortunate), so we moved everything into the shelter. And I swear my lungs have become a tad blacker due to all that smoke from the BBQ pit wahahax.

After the BBQ, we went back to my house to play some games until about 11 plus, and everyone went home. Lol even though there weren't all that many people, it was still rather fun haha!

Haha. I talked to my cousin, Vivian, on MSN last night until 4 plus in the morning! Hahaha she was complaining to me about WGY as usual lol! Ah all of a sudden, I miss playing with my little cousins. Can't wait for Christmas to come! TOMORROW'S CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Ha. Time for me to update before my ardent fans start missing my pearls of wisdom!

Tuesday
Went to the katong KTV with Yuqian, Lam Lee and Cristal. Haha went to cut my hair before that and as usual, I was feeling totally traumatised before the haircut. Well it turned out quite okay but it's kinda short. Hopefully it grows by the time school reopens! Haha. Singing was fun, of course! Heh, I managed to hit that high note of Ting Hai both times! First time in my life, really. HAHA.

Wednesday
Went back to DHS to teach the Sec 1 dizis, followed by alumni practice. Haha I think the sec 1s aren't too bad, really. Just gotta work on their basics. Lol taught them Wo Shi Yi Ge Bing wahahax. Alumni practice was boring. I don't like that Xi Bei whatever song! Cos it requires us to shout HEI and YO hahahahaha. For the first time in my life, I appreciate Hua Mu Lan so much more lol.

There was alumni practice at DHS again today, but I didn't go hehe. I'm just too lazy to travel so far! I'll attend more of the practices next year lol. Now for the highlight of the day, as well as the greatest disappointment. TODD WON SURVIVOR!!!! I was like, WHAT?!?!?! I honestly thought that Amanda was gonna win! Cos of her edit, and cos of the stupid truedorktimes spoiler website. Their spoilers are ALWAYS correct and everytime I wish they'll be wrong, they were never wrong. Now when I REALLY want it to be right, it's wrong! DAMMIT!!!!!! Such a waste for Amanda, she played such a super game, the final Tribal Council just killed her. If only she had half of Todd's glib-ness haha. Ahh AMANDA!!!!!!!! I've never been so upset over a Survivor win before. Sigh..........

VJCO Guanyue BBQ at my house tomorrow! Hopefullt it'll be really fun, with 3 batches of people hahaha. Yay, it'll be held by my grandfather's swimming pool! Whee! =D

Monday, December 17, 2007

Well here's what I've been doing for the past few days. Met Amelia at parkway on friday for dinner, then went to buy flowers and presents for the band concert. Haha! It was alright. I think that the players should move more and look at the conductor! LOL!!!

Went to meet Jingyu at tampines mall yesterday. Haha! It's quite funny, 'cos he just returned from the UK and we haven't met for 5 years and we didn't use to be super close, so I was wondering how would I recognise him. And we were so smart that we forgot to exchange our handphone numbers haha! In the end, we still recognised each other haha! Apparently, he said that he walked past me like 4 times but I didn't see him. I guess I was staring into space or something haha. Yeah we went to Fish and Co., and he treated me to dinner! I felt so guilty, 'cos I only treated him to ice cream at Swensens and the dinner was so much more expensive. What's more, he gave me a christmas present! Ahh. Oh well, I'll give him one if we meet up again! Hehe. And due to the tradition in the UK, he insisted on sending me home lol. Yup we talked alot about our primary school days, and how I miss Ms Lam SO MUCH! The teachers now... most of them have no compassion, really. Lol.

Today... went to meet Huijin at parkway for lunch, then we went to mug. Erm, I attempted to mug but it didn't really succeed. I was staring at Huijin's chem paper for an eternity but still didn't get much in heh. After that, we went to Borders and I finally bought Huijin the book that I owe her haha! So nice of me. Yeah we went to Burger King to read (lol) and went home after a while.

Just watched Star Awards, and I'm quite surprised by some of the results. And I'm sooooo disappointed that Tay Ping Hui didn't get the best actor award and that Joanne Peh didn't get top 10! Sigh.... hahaha.

Damn, R papers are like in two weeks and I still know nuts about my topics (chemistry) argh!! And the more I think about it the more I feel it's quite unfair that my favourite teacher actually made me write that "oath" of leaving VJC if I don't clear my R papers. Yes it's my fault and everything, I shouldn't blame anyone but for heaven's sake, there are people out there who did worse than me and she doesn't ask them to write that! Admit it, certain HODs are just biased against the DSA students. Yeah, special mention to my favourite teacher. DAMN YOU! Everyone thinks that I shouldn't have written that sentence and I think so too, but how am I gonna argue against her? Impossible. Rarh!

COUNTDOWN: 12 DAYS TO CHRISTMAS!

Monday, December 10, 2007

All hail the superstar! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was my grandfather's birthday, so our entire humongous family including all my distant relatives went to Four Seasons for dinner. Well, it's as boring as all other years but something which made this year's more unforgettable was the fact that my grandfather actually requested for me to play my dizi! Yeah, I was already told about it a few weeks ago but I didn't really think much about it lol. And it was only today that I decided which songs I'd play. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Joy To The World! LOL. I didn't even practise them once also. Haha I was eating my buns halfway when the compere asked me up on stage to play! I took quite a long time going up, just kept dilly dallying haha. Yeah and I finally went up to play, and that was my first time ever play those 2 songs! Cool huh! Hahaha. It was really hilarious, playing to 12 tables of people, about 120 pairs of eyes were on me HAHA. And there were a couple of times I really felt like laughing, 'cos everything's like quite amusing, and they didn't know that I've never played those songs before. Haha then after I've finished, the compere asked if I could sight-read my grandfather's favourite hymn, so I did! And everyone was amazed that I could play it the first time I saw it. Haha it was quite fun, faking my "pro-ness" to all of them LOL. Oh they wanted an encore, and I just played the hymn again HAHA. I think there was once when someone was taking a picture of me, and the compere said, "Pose for the camera!" I felt like a superstar for a moment LOOOOOOOL! Oh man, hilarious is the word.

That aside, the dinner was really boring. Just imagine sitting through the adults talking about results and all that. But the cool thing was that my relatives came up to me periodically telling me how impressed they were LOL. Aha, bluff carried out successfully! Hahaha ;)

Hee my aunt was asking me about my plans for university, which I replied that I had none lol. Honestly, my future's about as clueless as it is bright (I KNOW my future's gonna be a bright one HAHA). Haha throughout the dinner I was msg-ing Yuqian and Amanda, 'cos I was just too bored. So special thanks to the both of them for entertaining me HAHA =D

Yay, that marks my evening as a superstar! LOL.

VJCO Camp Day One - 05/12
We were split into 4 groups, V, J, C and O, and we had to think of our group names and cheers. I was the group leader of C, and we were called C-diao (C major)! Cool name huh! But our cheer's really lame. It goes like this, *sings the C note for 10 seconds* 3, 2, 1, shout C-DIAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Very unfortunately, it rained the whole day! That caused us to not be able to proceed with the original game plans, so we had to use thursday's game instead, which was Chicken Kingdom. Quite sad that I didn't get a chance to play, 'cos I was the station master of the tax counter lol. I'd have liked to try the 100 seconds no NG! I saw my group doing it so I went to cheer them on. And I realised that they were really spontaneous people! Whee! After all the fun and games, we had to go bathe and I was so miserable 'cos it rained and rained and rained the whole day, the weather was so cold, and the school toilet has no heater! I was really tempted to go home and bathe! Haha Zhou Mo suggested that the whole CO go to my house and bathe but of course, that was impossible lol. Anyway, I was glad I managed to survive the cold water in the cold weather haha. We watched Music and Lyrics in the music room that night and after that, went to our "executive suites" (which were actually the V block classrooms lol) to play cards. We played all the way till lights out. Once again, I was quite miserable at night when I was trying to sleep 'cos I was cold, hungry and the floor was so hard! My sleeping didn't seem to help at all lol. But I was so surprised that I managed to sleep. I woke up periodically though. But it's so much better compared to most of the other girls who didn't sleep a wink hehe.

Day Two - 06/12
This was one unlucky day for me man. We were walking down to the canteen for breakfast when I stepped into a small puddle of water and down I went on my butt. My elbow still kinda hurts now heh. And later that day while walking down to the canteen again, I once again stepped into a puddle of water and landed on my knees. Argh! Honestly, my slippers ought to be thrown away. Haha the rest of the girls were so afraid that I'd fall again lol. The games that day were alright. I played some of them last year, so some were not that fun haha. But all in all, the water bombings were fun! Got bombed a few times, and lots of water poured on me during Hai Dai Quan. I'd intended to stay over that night too, but turned out that all the girls weren't staying, except for 3 sec 4 girls. So, coupled with my homesickness, my hatred for the school toilet and sleeping in the classrooms, and the fact that I missed my mum and dad, I decided to go home too! Haha.

Day Three - 07/12
Nothing much, there was only sectionals and a mini prize presentation. During the prize presentation, we were supposed to use points accumulated during the various games to bid for food. Sadly, C-diao had the lowest number of points! The score wasn't that far though, it was less than 100. But anyway, the main point's that we had the lowest number of points, but we ended up with the most food! 'Cos we bidded for almost everything HAHA. But being the nice group that we are with a nice and noble leader, we shared everything with everyone hoho. We had a 2-hour exco meeting after that! Whoa, I almost died. Mr Teo kept asking us why for everything sigh. Oh well, had a CO lunch after that at parkway, after which we went up to an empty space to play indian poker. HAHA Junxi lost thrice, so he had to do a forfeit, which was to approach a stranger and sing the birthday song to him/her. He approached a little boy and started singing to him HAHA. Oh we did some tricks on the sec 4s too LOL.

Recital concert - 08/12
The rehearsal was bad! For some reason, I got a stage fright when there was only our own people in the audience. So I was kinda shivering when I played Tuo Ling. And for the 2 dizi songs, I didn't lead properly and everything was messy and I was so traumatised lol. But the actual concert was good! The audience turn-up rate was much higher than expected also. Shall comment on the dizi songs first. They weren't very good, 'cos we all of a sudden just rushed through the song and some people couldn't keep up. And I thought that my actions weren't big enough hee. But at the very least, music wise, I played everything correctly and properly! Oh, I was like smiling throughout our item, and some people saw and were amused about that. Haha! Maybe I shouldn't have done that, makes everything seem so un-serious. Shall comment on Tuo Ling now. I thought that I played well! And I managed to hold my breath throughout the entire 25 beats plus ritard! Vincent said that it was really impressive! Hahaha and those nice, flattering comments from some of them really sent me up the clouds LOL. Right, enough bragging, that was really to comfort me about the not-so-excellent dizi item hehe. Yay Tuo Ling rocks! By the way, I think I'm really noble 'cos while other sections went to get some lunch, I stayed with Tan Bo Yue throughout to practise Tuo Ling with them! I even abandoned my section hehe. But really, Tuo Ling is such a nice song! Haha. CO lunch at parkway again. After lunch, we headed upstairs again to play polar bear lol. Went to gramophone with Zilu after that, and I bought Lifehouse's Who We Are! It's been more than a year since I last bought a CD heh.

Argh! There's this house a few houses away from mine and the people in there have been singing and blasting indian music for the past 4 hours! It's SO LOUD and I'm FREAKING IRRITATED. I'm hoping that someone calls the police HAHA.

Haha! I'm currently feeling much more optimistic about the future of CO! 'Cos the sec 4s are really a bunch of fun people! Yay! :D
I'll update on the VJCO camp another day, 'cos I ain't in the most carefree of moods right now. Hee it's gotta be the first time in my life I'm kinda dreading a concert (although it's a really small-scaled recital concert). A part of me is in fact looking forward to it, but the other part is feeling rather worried. I'm quite confident for Tuo Ling, but I really hope that 1 year plus of not playing the song won't cause me to not able to hold that note for 25 beats haha. As for the Dizi qizou pieces... That's what I'm really dreading. I'm afraid that I may happen not lead them properly and everyone will come in at different times, I'm afraid that we will not be able to coordinate properly and everything comes out in a whole mess, I'm afraid that we'll screw up the fast parts of Shan Bei Hao, and most importantly I'm afraid that we'll embarrass ourselves in front of the entire horde of seniors! I don't know why I'm feeling so pressurised, it's just a Guan Mo Hui but you know, I really fear embarrassment. Hee. Ah but I should have more faith in my section! Pray that all goes well!

Biggest bummer, the sai-kang individuals who are arranging the chairs and all that are none other than the poor SLs! Did I mention that I totally detest pai wei? Lol!

Tuesday, December 04, 2007

I'm listening to Yu Hou Ting Yuan on repeat mode now! The song is really, really nice! But the version I'm listening to is different from what CCO played, this version's performed purely by the plucking section. But it's still equally awesome. And if not for the fact that I'm in a good mood, I would have cried lol. Thanks Yanzhi for sending it to me! :D

Roar. Gonna test out the games for the VJCO camp in school tomorrow. LOL. It's kinda hilarious imaginiig the bunch of exco people playing against one another. Oh well, hope it'll be fun.

Oh! I'm totally OVER THE MOON THAT TK AND RACHEL CAME IN FIRST ON THE AMAZING RACE!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.

HAPPY SEVENTEENTH BIRTHDAY XIANGHONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Sunday, December 02, 2007

Ah! While I'm still in the after-concert mood, here's everything on the super concert today!

Got up a little earlier this morning to file my scores. I was so pleased that the complete set was under my possession lol. 'Cos since practices started a few weeks ago, my scores were either totally lost or partially missing. Hoho. So fortunately, everything's right where it's supposed to be when it's supposed to be.

My mum fetched me to VCH, and there were so many annoying roadblocks all over the place. There was some cross country or whatever running thing going on, and many roads were blocked. So it took a long time before my mum managed to drop me off at the carpark of VCH. Haha there was this facilitator on the road, and he asked my mum where was she driving to, to which she replied, "my daughter has a performance at VCH." He directed her to the road leading to VCH, and my mum told me, "wow, you're like a VIP!" .......... LOL. I'm always a VIP what! HAHAHA =P

I thought I was really late, which I was, actually. Reached there at 12.45 when we were supposed to be there at 12.30 haha. But a number of people hadn't reached yet, so I was still quite punctual. The big, big seniors were so funny! We were backstage in the dizi room and they were complaining, "wah, why aren't there any chairs for us to sit?" LOL!!!! I guess us "kids" are more used to sprawling on the floor already. I mean, that's what we have been doing for the past DHSCO, CCO and EZCO concerts. HAHAHA.

The rehearsal wasn't too good (but since when were rehearsals meant to be good, anyway?) I stick to my policy that rehearsals are for screwing up. At least, that applies to me all the time LOL. Yeah, as if driven by this mindset of mine, I just have to screw up SOMETHING during the rehearsal HAHA. Yup, so I screwed up the super fast tounging part of Qin Bing Ma Yong just now. Heh but apparently, I wasn't the only one! In fact, I wonder how many in the entire line of dizis actually played it lol! Oops.

The rehearsal ended at 3 and the concert only started at 5, so for the rest of the time, Suyun, Prida, Serene and I played cards. Snap, bridge, dai dee, bluff, anything to kill time. Haha. As usual, I bluffed my way through bluff. Hoho!

The concert was not bad. Liang Shan Sui Xiang wasn't fantastic though. Qingen flipped the score to 2 pages ahead, and I didn't realise it initially. So when the dizi people started playing, I was like, "Huh? What are they playing? This isn't our part!" Plus the fact that someone came in like 2 bars earlier, so basically, I was a very confused person then. But I soon realised that we were on the wrong page, so I quickly flipped back lol. Wasted, I wanted to show off the super fast tounging part which I spent some time practising before the concert LOL. But there was another identical part behind, so I got my chance to "show off" HAHAHA. I was actually quite proud of myself that I managed to do it lol! The rest of the songs were good haha.

I really like Yu Hou Ting Yuan! It's a liuqin concerto, and I think it's a really touching piece. Plus the fact that the soloist, some tan bo yue/guzheng examiner from China, was really immersed in the music. Haha, talk about the epitome of emotions. Ahh I love that song!!!

Oh yes, when I was on stage, I thought I saw some waving. Turned out that Jeenise and Jeng Suan were waving at me LOL. Jeng Suan, the Poi Ching dizi girl who came for the EZCO primary school camp. They came to look for me backstage after the concert, together with Shermaine, another Poi Ching girl who plays the suona. Chatted with them for a little while, and they were amused by the bow tie I was wearing (it is rather amusing, come to think of it lol). Yeah I commented that our concert attire, black pants, white long-sleeved shirt, black blazer, made us look like penguins. And they said that I look like a penguin 'cos I'm so skinny. Hmm not much link but well... alright. Hahaha. Ohh Shermaine invited me to her birthday party! It's on the 30th December, but I'm not sure if I'll be going. Yup I had to leave a short while after that, 'cos my parents would be there soon. But not after they shouted "BYE PENGUIN!" Really! Ah but I'm missing the kids again LOL.

Anyway, the concert really inspired me haha. Yeah, it's just an ordinary CCO concert, just one of the few I've performed in before. But I guess it's the long absence from all that DHSCO hype and feeling and all that, such that when I'm once again under the baton of the great Mr Tay, it just feels very different. When I was on stage just now, I really enjoyed myself. It's the emotions behind the music, that feeling of liberation which I've never experienced before and will never experience in VJCO, or any other CO. Yeah, that's the magic of DHSCO! And CCO, which consists of DHSCO alumni haha.

Oh, and I really regret not taking kaoji this year. While I do not have the woes of A levels, I should have taken this chance to take it! Argh! Haha. Ding Laoshi was saying that I can take Grade 10 next year. But I reminded him that I haven't taken Grade 9. And Tian Laoshi said, "It's okay, take both grades next year. You can do it!" *faints* Grade 9 AND 10 on top of the theory exams PLUS A levels... I'll just die! By the time A levels end, there'll be like a mere 1 week before the practical examinations start. And well-known for being a last minute person, 1 week is definitely not enough to chiong 6 songs of supreme standards HAHA. It was achievable last year, cos there were still 2 weeks after O levels to rush my grade 8 pieces. It's gonna take a lot of discipline. Ah but who knows, I may end up with a surprising distinction like my grade 8! Right, I shall go dream about it. Wahahax. Sadly, I'll bet that this fervour for taking exams will soon be gone. Lol.

I'm so sorry for boring you with my detailed entry on the concert, but I just HAD to comment how inspired I am. HAHA. And to conclude, THANK YOU XIANGHONG for the merci chocolates! :D

Here's an update on a very fun-filled yesterday with the superstar wannabes (Sharon, Joo, Amelia and Huijin)! Met Joo and Huijin at parkway for lunch, then headed to the karaoke at katong (I love that place!). Sharon, who was late as usual (LOL), met us on our way there and Amelia joined us later. Wahahax it was fun! Time seemed to pass a little slowly at the start, but it flew by quickly during the last few hours. Haha we chose quite a number of english songs! And the reason Kelly Clarkson remains such a worthy American Idol. Her vocal prowess is... Unbeatable lol. The last hour of the session was simply HIGH. Haha. Here's evidence of the "high-ness" in the room.

Spastic-looking Sharon! LOL

HIGH!

Oh yes, met quite a few ex Dunman High classmates there. When I was about to cross the road to parkway, I saw Liwen. Chatted with her for a little while, and she told me that DHS is really boring now lol. And after we left the karaoke, I saw a group of 4H'06 people standing outside the toilet. Saw a few 2G'04 people too. Yoke San, Jiexin and Anting, just said hi to them haha.

I just watched Survivor China, and I take my stand that James is the dumbest survivor EVER. Heh.

Ahh I've got to collect my blazer and file from shangyin tomorrow. I'm really too lazy to make a trip down, but I definitely have to go tomorrow, or I can forget about performing on sunday. And did I mention, I ponned today's practice wahahax. It's 7.30pm, and it's my mum's birthday! Oh dear, Zheng Laoshi will be pissed. Aye but thankfully, I won't be seeing him for a long time after this sunday's concert. Maybe until the next CCO concert lol!

It's minutes after my mum's birthday, but here's a little belated wish. Happy birthday mummy! =D =D =D

Oh, and a happy belated wedding to Ms Meta, whose wedding took place 2 days ago! Lol :D

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

I've been wasting the past few days away waking up at times ranging from 3 to 5 pm. Lol. And all of a sudden I feel a tinge of worry about my R papers. Mdm Wee was telling me that my favourite HOD may very well kick me away to poly. Ah...

Disturbing issues aside, met up with Arvin (cousin) at Borders on sunday. I so absolutely love that place! I see myself spending a fair amount of time there heh. I couldn't resist the 20% off, so I bought another book, Along Came A Spider by James Patterson. Wahahax. While stocks last! HAHA. We had dinner after that at the new place Dome, beside borders. The spaghetti there's not bad. Lol.

CO today. Well, nothing much, 'cos it's just exciting and enjoyable as usual. Zilu came today! That relieved my boredom loads man. Haha. And she brought a HUGE stack of econs notes with her. I was a little shocked by such a thick stack of stuff haha! But I appreciate her efforts of lugging the whole thing to school for me. Haha! THANK YOU! :D

Damn. I just realised that I've clean forgotten about collecting my blazer and file from Shangyin! The concert's this sunday, and there will be exams going on at Shangyin, I wonder if anyone will be free to cater to my trying of blazers LOL. Ah well, I'll just go down on friday and pray that it won't be too late. It shouldn't be I guess. I really meant to collect them today but I forgot. Fabulous memory eh. But at least I remembered to bring home my court shoes, which have been hibernating in the music room since SYF. And while I'm at it, let me post a short advertisement on the concert. City Chinese Orchestra presents... *drumroll*

Sounds of War!
2 December Sunday, 5pm
Victoria Concert Hall
Tickets at $12, $15
More details at http://www.sistic.com.sg/cms/events/index.html?content=1325

Lol, this is one late advertisement, but I'll just post it for the sake of posting it. Do come down and support us! Qin Bing Ma Yong is such a cool song. And not forgetting the main highlight of everything, which is of course, the noble me performing! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Argh, that reminds me that there is a practice this friday EVENING at DHS! It's 7.30pm to 9.30pm! The thought's really depressing. But most probably I'll be ponning (again), 'cos... it's dear mummy's birthday! :D

KTV tomorrow! Whee I really love that karaoke at katong! Called to book a room just now, and I left my name as Ms Zhuo. MS ZHUO, how cool is that! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Sunday, November 25, 2007

Watched Enchanted with Xianghong on thursday! That movie's really hilarious man. In a retarded manner, but it didn't stop everyone from laughing almost throughout the movie lol.

Whee Sharon came to my house yesterday! =D Haha we just slacked around and didn't do much. We played Audition for a while (I'm a newbie and a noobie wahahax), then watched one of my Mr Bean VCDs. LOL Mr Bean's just retarded haha. After Sharon left, Valerie called me and asked if she could drop by my house (my house will soon be acreditted one of the most popular hangouts LOL). Yeah so she came, and we played Audition (again). Ah she kept commenting on how lousy I was, but she's worse HAHA.

Went to parkway for lunch with Zilu today. It must feel great, having finished the torturous A levels heh. We wanted to eat at the food court but it was so crowded, so we went to borders first. Yes finally, borders has opened! I've been waiting for it to open forever, and I was so excited when Zilu told me it has opened lol. There's a 20% off on weekends, so I bought a Jeffery Deaver book. Hoho. We had lunch at BK after that, walked around, then I came home for a nice afternoon nap.

I was feeling bored just now, so I went on youtube so search for The Amazing Race Asia 2. Took me a rather long time to find it lol. TARA2's really nice! The challenges and destinations aren't as interesting as the USA version, but the teams are definitely more relatable, being asians. Hoho yay, that's another reality TV show to take up my time :D

CCO practice tomorrow (yawn, yawn, YAWN). And I haven't practised my songs yet! I'll play as softly as possible tomorrow and pray that the seniors won't really hear my mistakes LOL. On a lighter note, I'll be going there armed with newly downloaded games in my phone, my Jeffery Deaver book, and an 8 days magazine. Those agonising hours of boredom will be CONQUERED! LOL!

Here's a special dedication to the birthday girl.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY YUQIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember to wear your new shoes! And please be honoured! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah. It's a boring monday, I woke up at 5pm, and the Amazing Race is the highlight of the day. 50 more minutes!

Saturday, November 17, 2007

Whee! Shall update on my very fun-filled yesterday. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. =D

Yuqian, Lam Lee and I went to the KTV at katong! $10 per person from 1pm to 7pm. That's so much cheaper than kbox! And their service is so much better too. They don't force you to buy silly drinks and tidbits that add up to $5, they don't constantly open and close the door irritating you to buy their silly drinks and tidbits AND interrupting your singing and most importantly, they don't chase you out halfway when you've booked the room until 7. Hoho. I half expected them to chase us out at around 3 or 4, but they actually let us sing till 7. Yep, had a really great time singing and singing, and singing. Haha! And there're cool english songs there! Lol, Yuqian says I sound better singing english songs. Nah, I still sound best with Ting Hai (LOL!!!!!!).

Had dinner at parkway after that. And we all of a sudden decided to go to the arcade lol. The arcade's really big! It looks rather small from the outside but when we walked in, we were surprised that it was so much bigger than we thought haha. Anyway, we spent $10 over there and I spent most of my time playing the basketball thingy. It was so fun! But my hands were so darn tired after each round haha. I must go to stage 3 next time! Haha we played around with the other stuff too, racing cars and motorbikes and the soft toy machine (needless to say, we weren't successful in getting anything haha).

Oh I was playing this very retarded online drawing game (like pictionary) with Yuqian, Joanne and her friend last night. It's sooooo spastic, with all the retarded drawings and even more retarded guesses LOL! But it's really fun, and we played till 4 plus am! HAHA. And I had to wake up for CO at like 8 plus am this morning. That's such a meagre 3 hours plus of sleep. But of course, my nocturnal nature made up for it through my long long afternoon nap haha.

I'm feeling so happy now! 'Cos after much painful deliberation, I've finally arrived at 2 Dizi ensemble pieces for the Guan Mo Hui. Yeah, I've decided to scrape Shang Xue Qu 'cos it sounds so retarded. It's nice, but not really suitable for us haha. Yay! I shan't regret my decisions now, I believe it'll work out! The only problem is the time I guess. But I have faith that we will be able to master the pieces by Guan Mo Hui! Whee!

Ah, I wanna play the drawing game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha. And I'm wondering if I should go for CCO practice tomorrow. Hehe.

Before I begin on our amazing sentosa escapade, let me first post some overdue pictures of the EZCO camp.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Weikang, Jingjing and Yongwei (the 2 KHS girls who still remembered me after 2 years!)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The boy playing the dizi is Dai Hong Rui, and he's SUPER CUTE!!!!! LOL!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Zachary, who's super naughty and always disappears, making poor Jeenise and I walk the whole school searching for him when he's safely in the classroom. But he's still a nice kid :)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Belle and Jeng Suan, the Poi Ching girls who adore me LOL! Belle's the really nice and sweet one who still msgs me almost everyday haha!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Mingyou, who ensures that I listen to every one of his jokes! Which are quite funny, really.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
All together now! The entire dizi family, plus instructor and student leaders. Gosh, I'm gonna miss the kids SO MUCH! Please don't forget me, okay? 'Cos I won't forget you guys!

Right, and before I start emo-ing, here's on my day at sentosa with Sharon, Hannah, Joo, Huijin and Jessie! Met Sharon at eunos MRT, and she was late! Made me sit down waiting for her like some homeless person LOL. We headed to Vivo and not surprisingly, we were the latest. But really, we weren't all THAT late hehe. Had lunch there and proceeded to palawan beach! Haha we just lazed around, suntanned, went into the sea frequently, and PLAYED CARDS (yes, in the sea LOL). It was really fun! Again not surprisingly, I wasn't that badly burnt. Ha, it really takes LOTS to get me really burnt lol. I'm a little redder, but I guess it's not as serious as the rest hahaha. Dinner at Vivo Food Republic after that! Then it was shopping for nail polish and for some unknown reason I became everyone's "tester". So my fingers are currently painted with different colours and being me, I'm too lazy to remove them, so I'll wait sometime. Haha!

Yeah, that's a rather brief account of the wonderful day yesterday. A picture paints a thousand words, but it's a pity I do not have any (they're with Hannah and Sharon hehe), so let's make do with words! In a nutshell, it was just fun, fun, FUN! :D :D :D

CO today. In a supposed 3-hour practice, I only played my dizi for 5 minutes. Beat that. Well, for the rest of the hours, I was basically seeking inspiration to play good music fiddling around with the newly-installed games in my phone. Pardon me, but I'm really quite sick and tired. Even the 2 really simple dazu songs have been scraped, what more can I say. And from the plan of holding the Guan Mo Hui in the PT, it's now been scaled down even further to be held in the concourse. Oh well. I should stop ranting on about this and just resign to it hee. In the meantime, I gotta improve on my attitude and try to give my best for whatever Guanyue pieces we're playing. Yep.

Here's something stupid. I have this little bouncy ball thingy and I bounced it so powerfully that it went "SPLASH!" into the toilet bowl. I was so stunned I went over to have a look and *poof* it was gone just like that. Ouch little green ball, I didn't mean to put you through such putrid discomfort, please forgive me. LOL!

Retarded happenings aside, Sharon and Joo came to my house today! Haha we wanted to play cards initially, but ended up banging on the piano the whole time. Whee! I'm loving the piano more and more! =D

A personal reminder to myself to call the sec 4s and confirm if they're coming for the VJCO camp. Woohoo! Exciting.

A very good morning to all of you, I miss DHSCO a lot, and I have an avid fan of my blog in the form of a spastic RONNIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! LOL!!!!!! :D :D

Saturday, November 10, 2007

Ahhhhh! Can't believe that the whole EZCO camp is over! AHHHHHHHHHH! :(

Reached VCH at 11.15a today. Waited around with the other helpers for the lorry to arrive from DHS. After it arrived, the moving of instruments began. Did I mention that I hate moving instruments! Yeah I do. I'm sure half of the instruments over there are heavier than me! Lol. I spent my time searching for the lightest possible stuff to carry wahahax.

It was quite chaotic when the primary schools arrived. So many kids walking here, running there, it made me really dizzy lol. Not to mention the fact that the kids simply loved disappearing acts. During their item from the rehearsal, Dizi had 2 people missing! Cheng Ang and Belle. The rest of the orchestra was already up on stage but I still couldn't find them. I ran everywhere, only to find them seated calmly at the backstage lol! Fortunately the orchestra hadn't started playing, so I hurried them up hoho.

I was in charge of guarding the Guanyue boys' room, so that they wouldn't run all over the place and make lots of noise. That's a terrible job man! 16 boys in one room and they just couldn't keep still! And for some unknown reason, half the carpet of the room was wet and the room smelt really musty, so having so many people in the room was terrible. They made so much noise that Chai Hong had to constantly go up and yell at them. They would be silent then, but after a few minutes the noise would come on. Honestly, they never listen! Haha. And it was soooooo difficult keeping them in the room also. They would linger at the staircase talking and laughing and fighting. Argh! I spent the whole time standing around telling them to keep quiet and not fight. But it wasn't very useful LOL. It was quite fun though. Mingyou, Weikang and Gabriel had soooo many jokes and they made sure that I sat down and listened to all of them, some of which were quite funny haha. And some of the other guys were quite entertaining too. Shawn, who kept whacking me for fun, Darren, who kept talking random stuff to me lol. And Leonardo and the KHS guys, who kept fighting over my phone! They're just crazy over the Snakes game haha.

I occasionally went down to the girls' room, and they were so much quieter! They were all seated playing murderer and whatever games quietly. Haha I could really sit down over there. Unlike the guys' room, where everytime I wanted to sit down, some of them would start shouting and fighting. Such atrocious behaviour lol. Oh I realised that Nanfang, the super cute suona girl, is Nanfeng's sister! The dizi girl who came for EZCO camp 2 years ago. Haha! Cool.

I was quite sad when it was finally the combined orchestral item. That would mean the end of the concert and everything! The helpers all stood backstage listening. And really, I feel so, so proud of the Dizi kids! For all the sectionals, they have never sounded like 1 dizi. They were so messy! And during dazu, they made so many mistakes that Mr Tay kept commenting that they were no good. But they played so well during the concert. They were together and all that, and they just sounded brilliant. That feeling of pride, it was exactly how I felt 2 years ago when 35 dizis sounded as 1 for Shang Xue Qu. Really, all that sweat and time and effort's really worth it. At the end of the 2 songs, we all clapped and cheered backstage and I was so touched that I tear-ed hee. I was just so proud of the kids, and I'm really gonna miss them very, very much. This is my last EZCO camp! Ahhhhhhhhhhh =(

I followed them down after their dismissal and I was so reluctant to say goodbye man. Kept saying "byebye" for countless times. Sad farewells hehe. And I tear-ed again. Argh I MISS EZCO CAMP AND ALL THE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha I told Xianghong that I think I'm gonna cry tonight. And she just msg-ed me not to be sad! Hee I'll try.

Belle, Jeng Suan, Yongwei, Hongrui, Jingjing, Shaoshan, Mingyou, Weikang, Ziding, Cheng Ang, Zachary, great, great job tonight! I'm super proud of you guys! All the best for everything, and remember to come to Dunman High! Hahaha :D

Beautiful gifts from Belle. The stars are folded by her! And that's the bottle of water babies. Apparently they're able to grow in water, then split. I wonder why are the kids so crazy over them lol.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The last time I'm wearing this lanyard... =(

Waiting for Jeenise to send me more pictures! Heheh ;)

Well... that's the end of everything. Hope I won't cry tonight! And tomorrow's CCO practice is such a bummer. I did say that I wanna practise before going, but I've failed to do that once again. And Debbie's not going tomorrow! Leaving me to die as the only Qudi lol. I'm gonna bring a book there to read, it's so boring. Hmph.

EZCO camp rocks! THE KIDS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was the last day of the EZCO camp. Whoa, one week just zoomed by like that! Haha. Yup, today was rather fun. All the kids were rowdier than usual lol. And I must say, I'm really impressed with them. They actually managed to memorise Yue Yun and Chan Mali Chan! Omg! When Zheng Laoshi suddenly announced that he'd be taking away their scores, I half expected them to forget halfway hehe. It turned out almost perfect man. Once again, shouldn't we feel guilty of ourselves? How many months do we take to just memorise some stupid SYF scores? Bah. Whee! Smart kids! Lol.

Haha! The dizi kids suddenly felt like turning off all the lights and *surprising* anyone who came in. Zheng Laoshi, Jeenise and I were all poor victims of this HAHA. Oh man... they're just so funny at times! I'm really gonna miss them! =(

Gave out presents to the kids just now. The gifts are so cute! Haha Jeenise bought them, and I'm contributing financially hehe. Belle gave me some presents too! Damn cool! She gave me an entire bottle of water babies (honestly, I don't know what's up with this trend haha), a container of hand-made stars and a key-chain. Oh man, I was so touched when I saw them! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh makes me miss the kids even more. Well, I'll upload the beautiful pictures of the presents soon haha. Oh we took some pictures too. Again, I'll upload it sometime haha.

Orchestral practice was really short. It ended at 3pm and it was break and briefing all the way after that. After the kids left, it was meeting for tomorrow. I'm still confused about the big picture, but at least I'm clear about what I'm supposed to do haha. Make sure that the Guanyue kids stay in the rooms and not move about, and guard the staircase so that no one comes and leaves. Such a slack job man! Compared to the sai kang warriors moving the instruments here and there lol. Quite scared for tomorrow though. Everything's still quite messy. Hope everything will turn out well! I'm sure that the concert will be a successful one! GO KIDS!!!! Lol =D

Oh oh! While I was standing around the CO room just now, this Zhong Ruan girl talked to me all of a sudden. Her name's Shirnice (not sure how to spell it lol) and she asked me if I'm from VJC and do I know Normen and Jessie. Turned out that Normen's her brother! Cool! Haha so I talked to her for a while, told her that I was from Tao Nan too haha. Lol she couldn't catch my name, until I pointed to the ceiling, and she started laughing haha. Haha she's sooooo cute and she's only primary 3! SO YOUNG! Haha.

Argh... having an EZCO camp withdrawal syndrome. I can't believe it's ended just like that, it's just, so fast. I'm really gonna miss the kids alot, alot, ALOT! I almost cried just now while looking at my presents! Hee. Oh well once again, all the best to all the children tomorrow! :)

Wednesday, November 07, 2007

Update on the past two days of EZCO camp. It was, yeah, alright haha. The kids are still as naughty, sectionals are still as boring, orchestral practices are still as sleepy hehe. But overall it's still fun! The kids are such fun people hahaha.

I decided to move over to the Bang Di side yesterday, and I realised that it was a good decision 'cos my ears were spared by the blasting of the suonas haha! 'Cos behind me were the gao yin shengs, and they're so much quieter than the suonas! Lol. Yup I stationed myself beside Ziding and helped them whenever I could. Haha I fell asleep halfway and got woken up by this zhong yin sheng guy called Gabriel Soh. He asked me to bring him to the toilet so I reluctantly brought him there lol. And after we got back to the CO room there wasn't a moment of peace! Like Zachary, he's a continuous talker man. Talking non-stop, telling me stuff like counterstrike LOL. And he kept kicking me then asking, "Eh AUNTY (gosh, what audacity!), just now who kick you ar?" He thinks that's fun lah! >.< LOL! And he had to go on and on that I fell asleep and he woke me up LOL. But he's quite funny and cute actually wahahax.

Oh there's this dizi girl, Shaoshan, she's so cool! She wore ear plugs throughout dazu! Such an ingenious idea man. I should do that for CCO practice, or sooner or later I'll be partially deaf. Honestly, it's been a long time since I had 6 or 8 or how many suonas blasting STRONG at me. I take my hat off to Ding Laoshi, Yilin and Liqin man. I wonder how they endure those unbearable moments during sectionals hehe. I remember there was once I was barely in the room for a few seconds and I dashed out, couldn't take it lol.

Haha the food for today's morning break was nice! Sandwiches, cakes and quail eggs. I was quite hungry, so I ate 3 plates of stuff HAHA. Belle thought I was THAT hungry, she started offering me biscuits lol. So cute! LOL I dunno what's come over the kids, but they kept asking me, "Eh why are you called Ruth? Is your name really called Ruth?" LOL! And some of them were here 2 years ago! Why would I lie to them about my noble name man... haha!

I was rather slack during dazu just now. I kinda left my dizi kids fending for themselves while I went to play stress with Jieting hehe. Feel kinda bad about it. But I've been lingering there for some moments, so I guess I deserve some sort of a break huh haha! Lol the kids kept asking me where I went. It can't be helped, I'm just too easily missed HAHA.

Oh oh! I think the percussion guys are really PRO!!!!! Especially that little Ngee Ann boy playing the pai gu. When he was playing that super cool part for Chan Mali Chan, I was like.............. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the timpani guy too. He's like, SO SMALL, so skinny, barely taller than the timpanis and he plays SO WELL! Really, many of us should feel ashamed of ourselves man. Hahaha.

Lol Mr Tay was asking the suona people to go run around the track to build up their stamina. And Belle (dizi) actually went to run! So I went to run with her. Haven't ran in such a long time, I'm gonna fail my NAPFA next year heh. Yep had a long meeting after the kids went back, it was about the concert on saturday. Didn't really catch everything, but the part where if it rains, we gotta hold umbrellas for the kids really scares me. Please DON'T rain on saturday! I'm not gonna hold like 2 umbrellas in each hand HAHA.

Ooh Belle just msg-ed me good night. Well, good night! Shall attempt to recover some lost sleep tonight. But there's a meeting for EZCO camp tomorrow at the airport. Oh well! Hahaha =D

Monday, November 05, 2007

We are officially DONE with PW!!!!!!!!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahaha went to school this morning to submit our I&R's, tidy our GPF and all that. It took only a short while and by about 9am we were done. Whee! Bye to all that torture! Haha yep cabbed to DHS after that for the EZCO camp. I feel a great heart ache, spending that amount of money on transport. Rarh.

Today was alright. The Dizi kids ran around less! Compared to last friday where they just ran and ran and RAN AND RAN and wouldn't sit down at all. I think 'cos Zheng Laoshi scolded them, according to what Jeenise told me lol. Ohh Belle is so cute! She asked for my handphone number, and after that she kept messaging me randomly! Like "hi", "bye", "where are you?" and all that. And she just messaged me "good night" haha. Well, the Dizi kids are rather fun, really, compared to the suona and shengs. Big headache! Lol.

Dazu was alright too. I sat next to Zachary, so that I could help the Qudis. And omg, I wonder how he doesn't get tired, but Zachary talked and talked and talked and talked non-stop for the whole 3 hours of Dazu! Not that I was irritated or anything, it was just that I was very, very tired. And it'd be rude if I didn't respond to him, so... yeah. But he's not bad, considering he only came today. He can play! Oh I was teaching Belle and him, and I feel so proud that they could follow! Hahaha. OH did I mention that there's this suona girl from Tao Nan who's SO CUTE! And SO PRO! She was the only one who could follow Mr Tay's speed man! And the percussion guys... so small but so pro! Oh my... LOL! There's this very pro Pipa guy from Tao Nan also. Heh, Tao Nan produces prodigies! HAHA.

Haha seriously, I wonder why the primary school kids get so many breaks. They come at 9am, have a break at 10.15, go back for sectionals, lunch at 12.30pm, go for orchestral practice, break at 3pm, then dismissal at 4.30pm. Do they really need to eat so much! And everytime there's a break, there'll be a hard time catching everyone back safely. Lol! Hmm.

Meeting after that, then came home to watch Amazing Race. Hoho, the twelfth season has debuted! =D Ahh so tired now. I should really sleep early this week or I'll be looking zombified every single day. Haha!

Oh oh. THANK YOU HUIJIN FOR DOING A STUDY TIMETABLE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg I was so touched.......... :'( THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D
Ahhhhh I'm sooooooos sleepy now! Just completed my I&R. Received feedback from LCC this afternoon, and I was quite surprised that he said my High School Musical idea was a good one! Haha. Well, not sure if this will meet his sky high expectations but I'm rather proud of my I&R heheh.

Went to Amelia's house to play mahjong yesterday! With Sharon, Hannah, Melissa. I totally had no luck man! But Sharon taught me quite a lot of stuff! Like when to take what and why and those. I'd usually just anyhow take and anyhow throw HAHA.

CCO practice today. Wahh I was so reluctant to get out of bed this morning man. Haha saw so many unfamiliar faces! Quite a number of new people heh. Dizi has 6 people! Zheng Laoshi, Debbie, Huili, Weicheng, Suyun and the noble me. You know, I finally feel like I'm actually PLAYING my dizi! Like, for MONTHS. Rarh. And the thrill of sight-reading finally came back! As opposed to playing the same score for 13957810365013476 times blah. I just love sight-reading. But honestly, the practice was darn boring. 9.30am to 4.30pm, what would you expect man. Haha I remember promising during the last CCO performance that I will never allow myself to get dragged into this again. But somehow I still ended up in this, no wonder when Primero saw me this morning he was like, "Huh how come you're here! I thought you didn't wanna come anymore!" HAHA. But it's more fun this time, with the juniors around! Heheh. Oh I felt quite stressed, 'cos I was like between Zheng Laoshi and DEBBIE. Omg... haha.

Sigh, I feel sad over my loss of sleep and the lack of chance to recover it. It's gonna be a long, tiring, busy week with kids. Haha just hope it'll be fun! Heh, shall be off to print a series of I&R's lol! Seriously, don't you guys think that I'm just so noble! LOL! Yes, of course! :D

Saturday, November 03, 2007

Last night was probably one of the worst nights ever man. My nose was blocked, my throat hurt, I was sleeping without aircon (some useless bid to save my nose a little), I was so worried about OP and the worst thing was that I couldn't sleep! I went to bed at 1 plus am and tossed and turned forever. Don't recall if I did fall asleep but the next time I looked my watch it was 4 plus. I tossed and turned for anotter eternity and I think I did sleep for a LITTLE while this time. Garh. Bad, bad night.

I was glad that my nose wasn't blocked when I woke up though. Other than my hurting throat (which fortunately didn't affect my voice), everything was RATHER fine. Our group was supposed to be in school by 7am and I actually reached at 6.50! Hannah was like, so shocked when she saw me walking into the canteen HAHA. That's the effect of worrying too much, I couldn't stand staying in bed any longer.

The classrooms were only opened at 7.30! So we didn't have sufficient time to run through once. Wahh I was sooooooooooo scared! Initially, I wasn't that scared but when it was our turn to present, my heart started thumping real fast. Haha but I actually thought it went rather well! Before this, I had this HUGE problem with my hand gestures. But somehow everything came out today! It wasn't much, of course, but far better than usual lol. Then came another round of freaking out before the Q&A. THAT was real nerve-wrecking. I kept anticipating my turn but no one called me yet. I was the last person to get called and they asked me something about building on to our project. LOL I recalled something that Melissa was saying in the morning so I used that! Oh my, I thought I was so screwed for Q&A but it turned out fine. At least, I'm really satisfied! THANK GOD! :D

So well, that almost marks the end of PW! Haha I'm actually KINDA missing practising my script over and over again LOL!

Slacked around in school for a while before cabbing back to DHS for the EZCO camp. When I arrived at the canteen, one word - chaotic. Little kids running everywhere and all that. Reminds me of two years ago! Hahaha. Anyway, the kids from Dizi are rather fun and interesting! There were three of them who came for the camp two years ago. The Kong Hwa people, Dai Hong Rui (he's really really cute! lol), Jingjing and Yongwei. I asked the 2 girls if they remembered me and they said they did! They even remembered my name! Whoa, looks like I'm quite unforgettable huh! LOL. Yeah I was walking into the classroom and a few of them pointed at my shoelaces and said, "Wah! Your shoelaces very fashionable leh!" LOL!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't stop laughing!

Ha, I'm so certain the kids like me man. Like, duh! LOL!!!! I think playing with them's rather fun HAHA. Oh oh oh, something real hilarious. They asked me how old I am and I said 17. And they were like, "HUH?!?!?!?! I thought you're sec 1!" OMG I almost fainted when I heard that. SEC ONE?!?!?! That's like, a little off huh! And they thought that Jeenise was sec two! Erm.............. speechless HAHA. Lol, they're like typical primary school kids man. I was explaining to them how to play murderer. "First you have to hold hands." and immediately following this, there chorused a deafening and unanimous "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" LOL!!!!!

Haha Jeenise and I kept going out of the Dizi room to terrorise the 5D classroom. Jieting and Liqin were slacking there, so we just kept playing bridge LOL. *oops* can you believe it? That we're getting CIP hours for playing BRIDGE? Gosh, we better not do it too often hehe. Yep yep I was asking the juniors how's CO now and all that. Ha I always knew that they missed me! Yeah and I miss them LOADS too! Hee.

I've been wanting to catch up on my severely lost sleep but looks like I can't. CCO practice on sunday early in the morning at mount sinai. And for the whole of next week I'll be travelling to and from DHS staying there from morning to evening. My sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it's okay, since I MISS DHSCO TO BITS!!!!

Ahhhhh OP's tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faints*

Went to meet Huijin at parkway for lunch. Lol, she left her house when I was still sleeping but she still reached later than me! The joys of living near to parkway lol. Headed to Victoria School (weird place) to practise our OP. We did it at the hostel room. It was quite a cool room, with comfortable sofas, a guzheng and a piano! Hahaha. Ah, I'm still uncomfortable with my hand gestures. I did mention that I'll practise in front of the mirror but I've yet to do so and it's nearly midnight. Argh!

Went to bugis after that with Huijin, Hannah and Melissa. We walked around for a while before having dinner. Haha I saw Huishan! But she didn't see me 'cos I spied her from the food court and she was walking up the escalator. So I msg-ed her to say hi hoho. Cool, the Dunman High people have all ended their OP! Can't wait for it to end man.

Surprisingly, I'm not freaking out. Yet. I'm really worried for Q&A! And the ever-so-irritating hand gestures lol. Like that's not bad enough, I'm having a sore throat and a mild flu. Oh no, hope it doesn't worsen, I really should sleep early. Valerie kept asking me to pray. Yeah, all she could say was "pray". Lol. Pray, pray, pray I shall!

Not fear, but faith.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Haha. For some reason, I was brooding over OP last night and all of a sudden felt quite terrified. The hand gestures are driving me crazy! I feel so weird doing them lol. Oh well, maybe I should attempt spending the whole of tomorrow practising in front of the mirror =)

Oral presentation rehearsal at EIGHT AM this morning. I was still all sleepy and shivering from my winter-like aircon room. Well, like usual, LCC said that we "did much better than the previous time. I think you all have done a good job" lol. He said that I did much better too. I don't know for sure, but I definitely didn't look much at my script today! Hahaha. And my Q&A was much better I guess. It was more elaborated, but not totally relevant HAHA. I randomly brought in a quote from Mr Lee Boon Yang, and it wasn't even a complete one. Half of it plus my own additions lol.

Went to thaipan for lunch with the S34-ers. After that, we trouped to Jarren's house. Some of us played bridge while the rest played poker. As usual, Jessie and I were on a winning streak muahaha =D Oh I think Jarren's dog, Jessie, is cute! But I'm a little scared of her though. Haha! We left at around 4.30 but Sharon didn't feel like going home so she came to my house! And helped me with my I&R. She's pro man, coming up with all those ideas. Whee THANKS SHARON, my life saver! I'm so gonna die, that's just my first draft I completed hee. Oh oh! Sharon's damn funny, she helped me "take revenge" on that person who's been perpetually annoying me lol! It was really hilarious, the way she talked to him! Lol. And cool, he hasn't talked to me since. LOL.

Finished my I&R not long ago (once again, thank you Sharon! hahaha). Just read the super long long email sent by Zhiying regarding the EZCO camp. All those words... hahaha. Speaking of EZCO camp... I'm still so sad that it starts on friday! That means dashing to DHS right after OP and no celebration with S34 =( oh well... just hope it'll be fun and that the primary school kids will be as fun and cute as two years ago! Lol. Once again speaking of EZCO camp, Mrs Lim hasn't told me if I'm allowed to change the date of the science centre trip! GRR.

Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Whee Sharon came to my house today! Hahaha. We fiddled around with the piano, experimenting with nice left-hand accompaniment for Jay Chou's Feng 'cos the chords given on the score don't sound pro HAHA. Yeah then we went online to search for some piano scores but it was really difficult to search for them heh. And speaking of scores, I found quite alot online yesterday! Muahaha new entertainment for my perpetual boredom =D

Just came back not long ago from my cousin's birthday celebration. Haha! Spent some time chatting with my uncles and cousins. They're so funny! Reminds me of a few years back when I always went over to my granddad's house to play with my cousins everyday lol. Yay I love my cousin! Ohh my sec 1 cousin, who's in DHSCO erhu now, was complaining to me about Wang Guiying! LOL!!!!! HAHA she told me WGY can never remember her name, so she always addresses her as "Suyin de tang mei" (Suyin's cousin) lol. And she told my cousin I'm talented! LOL! Wow, she actually remembers me huh. Lol.

Zheng Laoshi called me yesterday and asked if I wanna perform for the CCO concert on 2nd december. I was a little hesitant but I still agreed anyway. Even though I knew it's gonna be really boring, with all the seniors being so old hehe. But Liqin told me today that the sec 3 suonas are going! AND SUYUN!!!!! OMG!!!!! CCO practices are not gonna be as boring as before. It's gonna be FUN! For the first time, I'm looking forward to the practice this sunday. HUGE incentive for me to drag my ass to buona vista on a sunday morning! Yay! =D

PW at Melissa's house tomorrow (later). She's cooking spaghetti for us! Wahahaha :D

Monday, October 29, 2007

Ah I've been wanting to blog about my experience seeing that ultra-fierce HOD, Ms Tan. Haha yep. Went to see her on wednesday morning. And it spoilt my day totally. She yelled at me for everything! As usual, she kept railing at me about why I did so badly, why did I get a freaking U for chem blah blah. Everytime I wanted to answer, she would interrupt me again and continue shouting. It's a wonder she hasn't lost her voice by now. And every few lines she said, she'd end with, "you're wasting my time!" Well, like I made some request to see her! Bleah. Anyway, she told me to write a letter of "repentance". Which I did, and I passed it to her. And she scolded me for typing it out! I was quite bewildered, but Audrey told me that chinese teachers prefer written letters 'cos it's more sincere. Next time I'll just write it out using chinese calligraphy hmph. She read through my letter, then made me write "If I do not clear my reassessments, I will leave the college." I didn't think twice about it, so I wrote it. But after that I was wondering............ she doesn't really have the right to ask me to do that! Dammit. Yeah, EESUD is crap results but surely it's not that mega serious? After that meeting (or rather, shouting session) with her, I officially proclaim my HATE HATE HATE for her! Blah. Oh, she scolded me for my shoelaces too. "Dunman High like that one ah!" Dunman High, so what? Yeah, dunman high has much better and nicer teachers than VJ has! Rarh.

PW meeting at my house on thursday. After which Huijin stayed to teach me chem! Hahaha I thought it was super hilarious lol. But I'll be eternally grateful! To Melissa as well, who requested to check my structured questions LOL!

OP rehearsal on friday. Mr Lim said I did better than the previous time! But honestly, for some reason, I felt quite retarded while speaking. I guess 'cos I didn't speak like a bullet train and I wasn't used to it. Lol. Argh, I just suck at Q & A! Can't seem to elaborate enough. Hahaha I told Clara about my "stage fright" and she said, "Come on! You can solo alone on stage in front of 5 judges, what's presenting in front of just a few teachers!" Ahhh so touched when I heard that. Lol. Bless my Q & A!!!!!!!!!!! Haha went to parkway with Hannah, Melissa and Sharon. We had ice cream at venizia, then I dashed off to Cristal's house. Mahjong session with Cristal, Lam Lee and Yuqian! Lol. We had dinner at tampines mall after that hoho.

Went to shangyin yesterday for the EZCO camp meeting. Lol it only lasted for about an hour so I went hope, moped around, before meeting Lam Lee at tampines mall. Had lunch there, then waited for Yuqian before going to east coast park. It's really fun lying on the rocks, sun tanning and falling asleep! And we played frisbee after that! Super fun! Can't wait to go again wahahax. Yeah we went to meet Cristal for dinner at hans. Then we went to swensens' for ice cream! Ohh I saw some people from my church and one of them actually recognised me! Huiqi, who used to be my mum's student hahaha. Her friend was beside her, and she was from VJ too! I was telling her that almost everything in VJ is wonderful but the principal just sucks. Haha! She told me that the previous principal wasn't that nice either. Oh well, perhaps VJ ain't fated for nice principals eh. Hehe.

Today was a boring day. Oh there's this annoying person who talks to me on an average of 5 to 10 times a day and he says the same thing all the time! Most of the time I'll just ignore him but half an hour later he'll talk to me again. Argh! He loves asking me what am I doing, so I'll just reply him when I feel like it, and 5 minutes later he'll ask the same question and again and again and AGAIN. Do I look like I have SO MANY things to do in one day that I change my task every 5 minutes? And if I'm in front of the comp... what else could I be doing! Wow, it's a wonder I haven't blocked him. YET.

Annoying people aside... I'm rather happy 'cos I've got loads of supper tonight! And I found many nice piano scores online! Whee! And and and, Sharon's coming to my house tomorrow! Yay! =D

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Went to Sharon's house today! Haha. I told her I'd be reaching around 12 plus or 1 but I only reached at 2 plus cos I overslept HAHA. And I nearly got lost while walking to her house from the bus stop cos I walked on the wrong path lol! So had to walk all the way back to the bus stop again. But I wouldn't really have gotten lost anyway, it's just a longer way LOL. Haha we did a little of our I&R. Sharon helped me do mine and I helped her do hers! Turned out that she helped me think of so many limitations and alternative approaches and I only thought of a few hehe. Can't be helped, our groundbreaker's so............. haha! Oh man. Sharon's group's groundbreaker's really inspiring! She let me watch a video just now and it was so touching. Hee! I'm glad I'm not in the same room as them for OP. What with that touching video and the sad song and the emo paragraph, I'll just cry lah! Haha.

Argh, I've gotta see the HOD mother tongue Ms Tan tomorrow! That's the fierce teacher who shouted at me when I went to see her about my mid-year results! Ahh Mdm Wee asked me to think about my explanations and what I'm gonna do about my results hee. Oh man, I fear for my plight tomorrow lol. It's like going into a lion's den =X and I wonder if I'll come out alive LOL. Pray for me.

Monday, October 22, 2007

Haha! The OP workshop today was rather scary. Cos of the filming and all that, made me really nervous. I was like praying, praying, praying............. haha! Turned out not TOO bad, but the Q and A was rather crappish. My answer was kinda short and I repeated myself! Lol. I was praying that the facilitator would ask me what I learnt about Perry but I wasn't that lucky. Lol. Yeah we watched ourselves on film after everything, and the facilitator said that I hopped too much HAHA. I really MUST look familiarise myself with the script and practise in front of the mirror.

Lunch at parkway after that. Haha was listening to ghost stories, which I thought weren't really ghost stories lol! Ah, I'm just a brave person, really. I'm still awaiting a real horror movie that'll really faze me. Bring it on! LOL. Went to popular with Joo and Huijin after that, and I'm happy that I bought a book! Whee! :D

I don't know why, but I'm really sleepy. Shall sleep earlier tonight. Hoho.
I totally detest rsaf! Some way of motivating people about their results, man. Dammit, I miss Mr Sng!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rarh. We had a talk on friday about our promo results, which I thought was boring. I was rather irritated by rsaf bleah. Haha they asked to see the DSA/appeal students after that, then told us about how many failures came from this group of people. Yes I'm guilty, but at least I improved a little. I'll study next year! Erm, I hope. Hehe.

We had a sleepover at Huijin's house on friday! Her house is damn cool! So big with a swimming pool hee. It was really fun! HAHA Joo and Sharon are super hilarious! I was walking up the stairs halfway and I didn't notice them in front of me and all of a sudden they just screamed! Shocked me totally, made me wonder if there was a lizard or something. Turned out they were just scared to go up the stairs so they made me lead the way LOL. Whoa, I'm so brave! HAHAHA. Amelia, Joo and I couldn't sleep so we practically spent the whole night playing bluff/cheat/whatever you call it haha. It was so funny I kept laughing till my stomach hurt lol. Haha we didn't wanna disturb the rest who were sleeping, so we went up to Huijin's room. We wanted to watch a movie but ended up falling asleep on the floor. Considering the floor's so hard, I actually slept really soundly! I didn't even know when Amelia moved around and Joo ended up under the bed (LOL)!

There was the boring university talk yesterday. Hahaha we all went to school in Huijin's big car and Mr Seat was quite surprised LOL. The talk was hell boring, I didn't even listen at all. Oh well, I'll count on my dad for the information next time HAHA. Joo, Huijin, Amelia and I ended up playing bluff HAHA. Sharon was looking at my cards and advised me not to cheat. But I still cheated and she'll like scold me everytime I returned with a big deck of cards LOL!!!! Ohhh I saw Eugene's picture on the NTU slide! Haha, that's my cool tutor for chem and math last year! =D

Did PW at Mark's house today. The OP workshop's tomorrow and we'll be filmed! Damn, I hope I don't get stage fright. But it's likely that I will, so I'll just hope that I won't screw up too much hehe. 12 days to liberation!

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Seeing that I'm like blogging everyday now, I must be really bored. And I AM that bored. Hahaha. Basically, today was just one long boring day heheh. Was supposed too meet at 11.45am today to sign our PW stuff. I thought I was late, but nobody from our group was there yet. Haha saw the CO teachers and Joey having some sorta discussion and the moment I arrived outside the staff room, they pulled me over. Lol we discussed for a little while, before the teachers decided that an exco meeting had to be called in the afternoon. So out came our phones and the urgent dialings to the other members. Haha.

Haha Melissa only came to school with the WR at about 3pm. But it wasn't her fault lah, she went to soooooooo many photocopy shops before they decided to help her bind. Heez. Haha anyway during that 2 hours plus or so, I was so bored and I spent the whole time wandering around with Sharon's group lol. I tagged along to the computer lab too, and Sharon abused me! She made me do part of the PW for her group LOL. Yeah, I was supposed to think up some points about the lemon house and expand the 2 lines she typed to 5. So I just typed some random stuff there haha! It's so crappish I'll be stunned if they use it man lol!

Exco meeting at 3.30. I was still thinking straight initially but after an hour plus or so, I started shivering from the air con that blew directly at me lol! Still, I'm very clear of what I want! Hahaha. Ahh the whole meeting took 2 hours! Sigh and I can sense Mdm Wee's disappointment................. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I dunno. Just feel really bad that everything must turn out this way.............. :(

PW again tomorrow at 3.30pm. But being the nice and noble person that I am, I'm going to school bright and early at 10am to accompany Huijin! Just say I'm noble. Lol!

Oh, I realise that my MRT ring tone is SUPER embarrassing. A personal reminder to myself to put it on silent mode whenever I'm in the computer lab. LOL!

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Just came back from my great-grandmother's funeral. Hee, saw my uncle there and had a long talk with him. It's just so nice talking to him, he may be my UNCLE but he's really not that old, just a matter of 10 years or so. Hahaha yeah, he was like supportive of me as usual and was helping me "counsel" my parents LOL. Cool man! Meeting up with him next week! Yay!

Went to school this morning to meet Mr Lim regarding our PW. Haha I went there a little earlier to ponder over whether I should ask Ms Lee for the 1 mark for my econs. Yeah I took such a long time to decide, Audrey's group was wondering why the hell was I pacing outside the staff room for a full half hour. Haha I decided to go ask her in the end and guess what.. SHE GAVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that 1 mark can be considered legitimate, cos I actually deserved it for a question in the case study. Ms Lee's like so pro, the just flipped through my paper and in a matter of seconds found it for me. Yup so she helped me ask the marker for a mark and I GOT THE MARK!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I OFFICIALLY PASSED ECONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah I'm at a loss for words, I know I really don't deserve it.................... argh I just pray that I can actually work hard next year! But for now, I gotta clear my 2 R papers hehe.

After everything, we went to Amelia's house again! Hahaha Amelia's group did PW while Hannah, Melissa, Huijin and I played mahjong and bridge. It was so hilarious lah! Lol.

Oh guess what. I was playing "If We Hold On Together" on the piano just now and when I was done playing, I heard someone calling my name. So I went out of my house and saw 2 of my relatives (don't really know who they are hehe). And they praised me for my beautiful playing! (if MY playing's beautiful, my mum's got to be stunningly superb or something haha) Lol, they told me they stood outside all the while listening to my playing. HAHA oh wow, my playing serenades people huh! Hahaha, it's rather funny.

Going to school in the afternoon tomorrow to sign the PW cover page. Haha. Gosh, I'm such a bored and free person these few days. Date me, date me! LOL.

Monday, October 15, 2007

Hee. My great-grandmother passed away at 2am on saturday. She's now lived to a ripe old age of 107...

The ever so fun-filled PW aside, the past week has been a rather enjoyable one, and probably one of my most "emo" periods as mentioned in the previous post. Haha well everything's over, I'll just continue praying heheh. So, friday was a full day like we all expected. Went to have a wanton mee breakfast with 34-ers at joo chiat. Gosh, that place is like soooooooo near my house and I never knew such a great stall existed lol. Headed to suntec/marina after that and lunched at margaritas' bar (can't really remember what it's called) but anyway, the food and drinks there are far below satisfactory. I'm never going there again! Haha. Yup, and we ended the beautiful day with PW. Lol.

Saturday, went to meet Huijin at plaza sing to laugh at watch her cut her hair. Can't believe it, she actually went to the 10-min $10 shop lol. But it turned out alright hahaha. Went to far east after that to meet Yuqian and Cristal. My goodness, I think I'm becoming street smart, I actually didn't get lost! Wahahax. Oh they went to cut their hair also and I was telling them about the shop I went to with Sharon, Joo and Meiching. For some reason I just thought the shop was called "Prince and Princess" so I told them that. Ended up they walked far east plaza for a full hour without finding such a place! Yeah they made me show them the place when I arrived. I did find the place, but it's called "Flying Colours" LOL! Oh my, I felt kinda guilty heheh. Eh, but they did manage to get a good haircut someplace else. Lol.

Went to Cristal's house yesterday with Yuqian and Lam Lee and we played mahjong! Hahaha. Ah, I like the huge lime green bean-bag in Cristal's room!!!!! Lol. Dashed over to parkway after that to meet Huijin, cos she was coming to my house to stay over. Yeah we practically watched tv the whole night haha. And went to sleep after about an hour (according to Huijin) of pillow fights/snatching/whacking lol. Sigh, Huijin's just so childish HAHA.

PW bright and early at 8am this morning. Managed to finish the powerpoint for our OP. It was the DHSCO committee meeting with Mr Tay at Shangyin after that. Feels nice to see the rest of my batch's committe members again! Mr Tay was telling us about an SCO performance at Beijing and some newspaper scam. Ha, the world is just so full of lies eh. And what he said about respect evoked my thoughts hehe. The purpose of the meeting today was to discuss about the EZCO camp for primary schools. Haha kinda looking forward to it, cos it was so fun 2 years back! But what a total BUMMER, that the camp starts on 2 Nov, which is the day of our OP! Argh, I hope our OP's in the morning, or I'll have to be MIA for the whole first day hee. Oh Zhiying told us about the re-structuring of the committees now, due to the introduction of DHP. I thought that the structure's quite hilarious! LOL. Haha yep, today's the first time in ages that I wasn't praying for it to end lol. It's productive! Haha. And I'm actually looking forward to the next meeting! Wow, the wonders a crappy ____________ can do hehe. Oh oh! Zhiying said something just now that SO totally reminded me of lcc. The exact same words, "Since you all are here, I might as well tell you all............" Oh my! I was laughing when she said that hahahahaha lol.

I'm going to beg Ms Lee for a mark for econs tomorrow. Yes, it's like, a little late... but I'll just try. Ah! God bless me heheheh :D

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Whoa.......... I'm like, so overwhelmed by emotion I dunno what to say. Got back all my promo results already, and I must say, it got better each time. Haha the first paper we got back was chem, and that was completely one big DISASTER. I got like 21 marks! Upon 100, by the way lol. I was so totally crushed when I saw it and I thought that my future's just GONE like that. But yeah, as I'd mentioned, it got better each time. Bio's an S (I freaking missed 3 marks! But it's really my fault that I didn't finish studying hehe), Math was an E!!!!!!!!!!!! Mr Lim told me beforehand that Mr Teo said that I passed math but I was reluctant to believe it cos it just didn't seem possible at all. But I really did pass! And it pulled up my 35-mark midyears to an E! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!! GP was a D, which was the same as mid-years. And it came down to econs, my deciding paper. If I got another U, I would be screwed. Haha! We got to check our econs marks today, and I was so scared! I didn't dare to even peek at my results and I was just so scared that I cried hee. In the end Mei Ching went to check for me and told me that I got 33/80. I was so thankful it was an S that I didn't even realise there was such a glaring calculation error lol. I apparently got 15, 15 and 8 for the case study and essay questions and didn't realise that it should be 38 instead of 33. And when that fact finally sunk in, I realised that I passed econs! Like OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I PASSED econs?!?!?!?! Haha. But due to my wonderful U grade for mid-years, my final mark was 43.5, which will be rounded up to 44, which is 1 mark away from an E! Ah, please give me that 1 mark, I NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol!

I must say, this must have been the toughest period ever! Throughout the entire promos I was just so afraid I would be retained! Just imagine my parents' disappointment, the fact that I'll leave S34, affecting CO cos of my results and everything. I remember crying a few nights away just thinking of my parents' feelings. And the few days when we were getttng back our results... kept thinking of how many U's was I gonna get. The feeling was definitely NOT a fun one and I'm gonna say again, it's like 128970291570981724508206594 times worse than O levels! TOTALLY.

Well, now that this nightmare has come to an end......... I have LOADS of people to thank! Thank God for the strength and courage to survive this awful period! During this time, I kept thinking of what Audrey said, about faith and all that, and that 1 Peter bible verse. Haha. Yes, I spent like so much time praying during the course of promos (I think I honestly prayed more than I studied hee). Thank you mummy and daddy for buying supper for me every night and just being my emotional support (I'm sorry to disappoint you with my awful results, but it's really my aim now to JUST get promoted first, I promise I'll work harder next year!) Thank you S34 for being such a fun and wonderful class that everytime I thought of leaving you guys, I'd push myself to concentrate better while studying! Thank you Audrey for reminding me constantly to have faith in the Lord, for the very encouraging bible verses, for the beautiful bookmark (don't you worry, I haven't lost it, it's actually in my bible now), and for praying for me everyday! Thank you Chia Wen for that very touching sms, was quite surprised when I saw it and I cried after reading it hehe. Thank you Sharon for always assuring me that I won't be retained, for going to the toilet to wait for me outside while I was crying (I was so touched when I saw the sms that you were outside that I cried some more, that's why I took quite a long time to go out lol) and for comforting me! Yeah, we're all in this together! :) Thank you Hui Jin for trying to make me study (LOL) and for that sms (which originated from me!) lol. Yeah, I was so touched that I cried too hehe. Thank you Mei Ching for being so concerned about my results, for comforting me just now before I got back my econs, and for always being happy for me! Thank you all S34-ers who were so concerned for my results and for consoling me! Thank you VALERIE for always praying for me and comforting me and for volunteering to come out to help me for my chem R paper! Thank you Mdm Wee for always conselling me, talking to me, telling me that as long as I've done my best, I need not worry, for having faith that I can do it. Thank you Ms Meta for helping me for my chem! I'm sorry to disappoint you by getting a U though... and a big THANK YOU to everyone else who've given me so much encouragement all this while! It helped ALOT.

Yeah, that's my entire thank-you list, if you're reading my blog, thank you for not falling asleep yet! I'm sorry for boring you with such a long entry, but I feel that I MUST MUST MUST blog about this really trying period. It's gonna be a memorable one (not in a nice way, of course lol) and a really touching one. I remember there was one night when I kept crying cos I was soooooooo touched for everything! All the sms-es and all that. Haha.

Now that everything's over, don't brood over it anymore and look forward to a much better year next year! No matter what the result is... as long as you've done your best, you have every cause to celebrate! "Success is not a destination at which one arrives at, but the spirit one undertakes to continue the journey." Haha! Life is beautiful and colourful, don't worry, be happy! Life is GAY! :D
