there was the combined co practice at nyjc this morning. i din wanna go initially coz it's soooooo early and i need my sleep! i spent a few minutes thinking of an excuse but i decided to go in the end. thought of mr teo's sms about COMMITMENT. lol! whoa, it was the first time i din ask my parents to fetch me! oh man.. feeling so proud of myself. heh i was rather late and the bus refused to come and i was extremely annoyed and i took a cab in the end. gosh, my first time taking a cab to school lol. the uncle's quite amusing. i told him, "VJ" and he said, "HUH?!?!?!" he thought i wanted to go to JB. lol.


we reached nyjc soooo early, at 8.40am. practice was supposed to start at 9. we all sat around waiting, waiting, waiting. rachel and i were making plans on sneaking home before mr tay arrived. lol. the practice only started at 9.45! could tell that mr tay was really unhappy about it hee. the practice was b-o-r-i-n-g. how exciting can it get playing the same song over and over again. at least there were nice ppl i could talk to! haha. oh yes mr tinky annoys me! first he wanna change parts with me, so he played qudi and i played bangdi (lol). and now he says he can't memorise so we're switching back. haha. but honestly, my bangdi yin se is UNCOMPARABLE to my qudi yin se. hai but the thought of changing seats makes me a little sad. clara's gonna miss me being in front of her! can't talk to me all day LOL. oh well, at least there's jiemin in qudi. hoho!


we were walking out of vj with mr teo just now, discussing the standard of the chem mid-years. ahh mr teo's marking the year 1 S3 papers now. he's gonna see mine real soon and FLIP in a second. oh yea, he was surprised soo surprised that i was taking a bus home! he was like, "you're taking a bus????? what about your chauffeur? they all say you're very rich." ................. i'm not, seriously. haha. yep he went on to talk about this year's dsa. only 2 dizis, none of them got in. heh.


oh no i wonder how am i gonna wake up for school next week. i'm like having serious nocturnal habits now. even for the past exam week i was leading an owl lifestyle, sleeping till evening then studying from midnight. and i woke up at 6pm yesterday! lol. i'm gonna cut my hair tmr!

oh my! i just realised that the middle judge on campus superstar, ye liang jun, talks like lin fu qiang laoshi!!!!! their mannerisms are rather alike too! COOL! lol.

I SURVIVED THE MID-YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woohoo! liberation till the day the results return. haha. let me update about my extremely torturous four days.


GP was alright. econs was.. >.< i heard that 3 ppl walked out of the hall the moment they opened the paper. haha i din even know what the questions were about! guess it's due to a LACK of sleep. din sleep the previous night coz my afternoon nap was looooooooooong, i was worried about the mid-years, i hadn't started studying, and i had to try to make sense out of the abundant blank boxes in my notes. lol. yeah i was sooooo sleepy i think i fell asleep while writing and when i was more sober i realised that i'd written some incoherent nonsense and had to cancel that whole chunk. yikes, my sleep! dammit, they had to ask loads on market structure, which i din really touch coz i realised i lost my notes. ROAR.


bio was alright, considering i only studied 4 out of 10 chapters (happens when you only start studying at 12am). yeah, i was too busy watching tv. and that reminds me, CSS! shall talk about that later. haha, i was still surviving rather well at the front part of the paper but when it came to the essays.. yes, i'm that lucky, none of the questions were anything that i'd studied. so it was time for my wonderful story-telling. honestly, i think i'm a great story-teller! lol, my class was commenting that i was sooooo slack, staring out of the window the whole time. yeah, i was sourcing for inspiration and answers. but i managed to churn out long, long answers! containings loads of bull.


math was alright as well. but there were so many graphs. i'm quite sure that none of my graphs will be completely correct. lol.


ooh the main highlight, CHEM. i knew i was screwed the moment i opened the MCQ booklet. credit to my decision to go to sleep after flipping through a few pages of chemical bonding yesterday. haha, i just wasn't in the mood to study. back to the MCQ. there isn't a question to which the answer i am certain of. meaning, i could well get a zero! hee. i shaded lots of Ds, i'll pray that some of them are correct. the structured questions were better, but the essay questions.. bleah. i'll probably get 10 marks for the entire paper. ha, i'm bound to get a U. bracing myself for some sarcastic speeches.


yes! it feels good coming home to have a 6-hour nap without feeling depressed over the chunk of information i'll have to force into my head, it feels good being able to watch tv without wishing that 9pm will come to a standstill so that i will never need to hit the books. oh man, i'm already having difficulty surviving the mid-years, what am i gonna do for As? haha.


right, enough of my 5 U tendencies. it's time for sth light. DONUT FACTORY!!!!! haha, yuqian and i went to queue just now! we queued for 3 hours! but it din really feel like 3 hours. it passed quite quickly hoho. sadly, i attempted to carry the box in a more comfortable way by hugging it. and the blueberry's a little messed up now. lol. oh, city hall was so vj-dominated today! every corner we turned, there was a group of vj ppl. cool.


campus superstar. i dun see the point of the 70-30 when guohao can still be in. i would have hurled something at the tv if that something hadn't been my phone. garh.


all that last-minute excessive cramming is making me a little dazed. a few days of sleep would do me good. lol, time to get glued to the tv. go watch the 9pm show on channel 8, it's so retarded it'll get you laughing so hard without knowing why.

i'll be moaning over my GP paper 30 hours from now. i'm about 10% prepared for mid-years. i woke up at 4pm today to have my lunch before going back to sleep till 7.30pm, so i've been awake for barely 8 hours, i've been using the comp from then, meaning i haven't studied today. i haven't started on econs, which is on mon, and i can't find my notes. i only started on one chapter of bio. my math is still alright other than functions and graphs. i'm contemplating giving up chem for mid-years. the words "start studying, ruth, stop wallowing in self-pity" doesn't seem to work. i dun have to announce it, but i shall one more time, i'm TOASTED for mid-years. my mum says i can be a good pianist! right, time to abandon my books and focus more on the piano. LOL!

woots~ went to sakae sushi with lam lee, yuqian, cristal and joanne today! we went for the teatime buffet from 3 to 6pm. whoa, i was sooooooooooo full and my stomach was aching! to make things worse, there was this waiter who delivered the soft shell crab to our table and he suddenly sneezed. he turned away and sneezed SO LOUDLY and the soft shell crab rolled around on the plate. LOL i was laughing like anything which made my stomach ache even more. it was seriously funny, the guy sneezing so loudly. made me laugh for such a long time and yuqian just had to take a video of me laughing! LOL!


DASHED to joanne's house after that to catch campus superstar. THAT SHOW IS RIGGED! no comments on the marks the judges gave the girls but for the guys.......................... how on earth could javin get such high marks and how could benjamin, who sang SO MUCH BETTER than javin get lower than him! rarh, i feel so peeved thinking of it. haha but anyway i doubt either of them will go either. guess jiajun and junjie's gonna leave tonight. =( i like jiajun's smile! LOL. haha, we were giving quite alot of comments and i think our comments were quite mean for this particular contestant. HAHA shan't say who, it's sooo mean. oh yes, saw so many dhs victorians on tv. lol!

hoho. i din manage to welcome joanne back at the airport today coz couldn't rush there in time after church. went to meet them (lam lee, yuqian, cristal and joanne) at bedok instead to have chicken rice for lunch. lol! we went to joanne's house after that to play bridge for a few hours. din study today, but well.. nvm. HOHO. :P going to sakae with them tmr! yay!

went to the airport to study at terminal one burger king with jolie yesterday and today. met quite a number of ppl there! sihui, nerissa, jenny, siying.. and the moment i arrived at BK yesterday and sat down, i realised that xianghong and zhiying were studying at the table just beside ours. lol! such a coincidence. miss chatterbox, CLARALEE, joined them shortly after and seriously, there was no peace! but it was really quite hilarious. yes clara, your jokes are funny to an extent. oh, and she just HAD to use her phone to record down my promise to go for the committee bbq! it's no wonder her phone had to be sent for repair. LOL.


i was studying redox just now. halfway through the notes, i realised that they were blank. lol. had no choice but to move on to atomic structure. yes, i'm STILL at atomic structure, testimony to how toasted i'm gonna be for mid years. ROAR. just a few days left, gotta copy everything that i've left out in my notes (the self-declared half days and breaks are really haunting me now lol) and MUG REAL HARD! whee go ruth! go seniors! go everyone!!!! honestly, life's really beautiful. :D


terminal one BK's actually a nice place to study if not for the uncomfortable chairs. lol! guess i'm gonna be camping there for the next few days. yay, bonding sessions with the airport! going there again tmr to welcome joanne back! and hopefully get down to some studying. haha!

haha. i really draaaaaaaagged myself to the airport this morning! went to meet yuqian at eunos at 8am. i was walking with my eyes half-closed. lol. yup, we went to burger king. and jolie stalked me there! LOL! she msg-ed me in the morning asking me where was i hahahahaha. i spent the first 2 hours plus or so with my hands glued to yuqian's rubik's cube. it's really addictive! i couldn't get my hands off it until jolie msg-ed me to START STUDYING and being the obedient soul that i am, i finally took out my math notes hoho. anyway, i'm so proud of myself for being able to complete the cube! i'll still fumble sometimes at the last few steps, but i can do the first few steps really quickly now! WATCH ME! :D lol.


halfway through studying, the aunty at BK came to tell us that we were occupying too much space! garh. so we evacuated to mac. lam lee and cristal joined us a little later, and we played bridge for quite a long time. but at the very least i'm a little more productive today HAHA.


oh yes, someone said hi to me at BK just now. i stared at the person for quite a while searching my memory for a clue to who she is. and i realised.. it's RUTH, my classmate in primary 4! gosh, i haven't seen her in AGES and she actually recognises me! i guess i'm just unforgettable huh. lol!

i sense how utterly screwed i am for the mid-years! i was telling valerie just now that i'm beginning to worry, and she said that i dun sound like i'm worried at all! I AM. it's just that i'm not doing anything about it, that's all. lol. it's less than 2 weeks to mid-years now, i haven't started anything and i feel that i dunno anything! oh man, my sec 3 trauma's coming back!!!! noooooooooooooo!!!!! damn, i wonder how am i gonna get started. most of my notes are missing among the sea of mess in my room. those that aren't missing are blank, thanks to the self-declared half days i've been giving myself. and i have currently no clue as to what's gonna be tested! ha, two words - FREAKING SCREWED.


i realise i will never get anything done at home. my bed is too warm, comfortable, and DISTRACTING. lol. i think i've been sleeping too much these few days. SO.. i'm draaaaaaaaagging myself to the airport at EIGHT AM tmr morning! or should i say, in about 5 hours plus. rejoice, RUTH is showing some signs of salvation. 8am! RUTH is waking up at 8am! actually, earlier than that coz i'm supposed to meet lam lee and yuqian at 8am. oh my! everyone, please watch for the sunrise in the west tmr! i mean, in a few hours' time.

wooh! CIP at vivocity today! haha. went to meet wing sum early in the morning at 11 plus, then met the rest at vivo for lunch. after which began the arduous task of building, building and more building. haha but it was really fun! we started out using packet drinks to build the linkway. and i'm proud to say that it currently contains my countless droplets of perspiration. haha! yeah other than that, we pasted labels on the packets and helped to build the houses as well. the excessive inhalation of glue's making my head spin. lol. 8 hours of sweating it out, including A LITTLE slacking time. it's so tiring! but it's really fun! i wouldn't mind doing it again haha! i'm so proud of myself for not slacking man. i'm feeling a little more noble. but i always was.


haha! clara's talking to me now and all of a sudden she mentioned the china trip last year. it's really fast, one year. this time last year, we climbed taishan, then went to crash siyuan's room LATE at night to celebrate her birthday! haha. oh man.. all the funny things that happened during the china trip, including the most classic moment, clara coming out of the bathroom with smoke following her. LOL! memories, memories.. dhs days are still the best! as clara said, so sheltered and warm. it feels like home! haha it's so unlike now, having to tolerate the most asinine of TEACHERS. garh. i really miss mrs ong and ms lim.. :( and i'd give anything to have mr sng instead of rsaf! hee but thank God for VJCO! all the WONDERFUL-EST of ppl in there. VJCO ROCKS!!!!!!!

whee co chalet was fun fun FUN! 3 days 2 nights just zoomed like that. oh man! haha. it was free and easy on the first day. after checking in, we just lazed around playing bridge for a few hours straight. oh it's really amusing playing with fiona! she's so easily confused! LOL =D gossip and guitar-playing session through the night haha!


yesterday morning was spent shopping for the bbq food. there was this very inviting sofa or whatever it's called outside some shop, so wing sum and i sat there while the rest shopped. all shopping centres should have such nice seats man! lol. the bbq was alright, but we went down a little too late and all that was left were bee hoon and fried rice =\ lol! handover was kinda fun coz of all the exchanging of gifts. the gifts guanyue bought for the seniors are really interesting! HAHA. ahh so sad jolie wasn't there, so i had no senior to exchange gifts with. lol. oh, and the rest of the j1 exco copied the last 2 lines of my speech! lol.


i learnt how to play mahjong! haha. so much for insisting that i was never gonna learn it. haha! oh and i won the first round that i played! beginner's luck man. haha but i doubt i'm gonna play it again. oh yes and thanks to the vs guys for teaching me pool so patiently! i'm still a total noob at it though. haha!


checked out this morning at 9 plus. some of them went to wild wild went but i din feel like going, coz the idea of sliding around with chicken rice in me din fancy me too much. yup so went to the macdonalds at white sands with jonathan, joel and tingkai to play bridge. -_-"


oh yeah! jolie and i had our own "handover session" this morning lol! and it's so cool! i included a blank jigsaw puzzle with the guanyue photo pasted on it in her present, and she gave me the same thing! but hers is way more sophisticated HAHA. 300 pieces! i spent my day doing it and i'm halfway through now. whee! talk about coincidental. ho yes, and she wrote a super long, SUPER TOUCHING letter. whoa, honestly i'd never dream that she would ever say those words that she did! haha oh man i din know JOLIE can write such emo letters! hahaha. yep i cried after reading the letter, i was really touched. haha. and that made me feel so emo throughout the day lol. missing co again.. hee. whee JOLIE ROCKS! spring cleaning after that. it was kinda slack lol! but contrary to what wing sum said, i made myself useful! by helping to locate all the missing tuners around the place. lol!


went to shop for some presents after spring cleaning. from parkway to the ikea at tampines to tampines mall. it was so taxing on my poor legs! haha. i din buy anything other than the food hee. zhou mo settled her presents! haha. anti-social jolie left us halfway so that i won know what she's getting me. i wonder if she already bought it. i'm beginning to have an inkling of what to get! three cheers!

hoho. i was on my way up to the music room this morning and i met mr tay coming out of his car. so he started talking to me, asking me why aren't i going for the cco china trip (again). lol yeah i told him that i'm gonna use the time to study! LOL. haha and as what i expected him to say, he said that we should learn how to balance CO and studies. lol! oh he said that i'm tall! HAHA. and he apparently din know that i'm actually TALL till he saw my reflection. oh man, so amusing. lol.


17 ppl dazu. how cool is that! haha. not bad, we managed to kind of go through dong once. it was at a very slow speed and we skipped some parts, but i consider it quite fruitful. considering that there were only 17 ppl. haha!


so annoying. the dizi scores were all intact, but they just had to miss out the qu di 1 score. fiona and i had to painfully copy everything from the zong pu. oh man.. after bending over the zong pu squinting over crotchets and minims for 3 hours, i'm dead sure my sight-reading for manuscripts has improved ten folds. and i guess my eyesight has worsened an equal amount. honestly, the writer of the zong pu has terrible handwriting, it's so difficult to tell if the note is on the space or on the line, whether it's an E or an F. garh! and anyway, the inheritors of the score are gonna be so, so, SO HONOURED, FAR BEYOND WORDS. coz the score's handwritten by ME! omg.. whoever you guys are, you have my utmost envy. and anyone who sells my original copy's gonna be a millionaire! LOL!


i'm soooooooo sleepy now YAWN!!!! and there's spring cleaning tmr, how fun. i'm sure gonna stand 1 metre away from anything i touch lest a cockroach drops on me. i'm gonna run 5 miles if that happens! hoho.
