Hoho. Just came back from dinner with Arvin. We ate at sakae teppenyaki, then went to PS Cafe for dessert. And since I'm of legal age now, I just had to try some wine haha! I'm proud to say I didn't get drunk LOL! Roar. Now, I've got to continue with silly bio learning outcomes. I'm so not looking forward to doing respiration tomorrow. And I haven't completed my vectors remedial worksheet. Math tutorial's the first period tomorrow! Help! :(
Nothing much this week, other than the fact that I'm left even more confused about my future after attending a few talks, namely the NUS FASS and UK university talks. Haha. NUS ain't too bad, except for the glaring "comprise of" somewhere in their booklet. Made me wonder if they're really the faculty of arts and social sciences. Lol! And I still don't really dare to apply to the UK, though I've sent Mr Cook and email indicating my interest. Oh well, I'll see how.

By the way, I got a C for GP! That's the highest grade I've ever obtained for any subject so far (pathetic, I know) and it's not even for any significant subject. Still, I'm rather proud of my 34/50 for the comprehension lol! But my essay was an all-time low of 25 marks, thankful I didn't fail though, the marker's comments totally made me feel as if all I'd written on the paper was 1+1=2. You know, the "duh" kinda comments after every paragraph I wrote. Haha! But yes, thanks to moderation of the compre marks (they said the cohort didn't do well), I just got a C. And trust me, it's gonna get better. Hahaha.

Met up with Yuqian, Lam Lee and Cristal for dinner yesterday at tampines mall. Yuqian came to my house before that to charge her phone and to rummage in my interesting drawers. Lol she was looking at my primary school report book (it was impressive, really, so unlike now) and discovered that when I was in primary 6, I weighed a mere 29kg, but stood tall and proud at 1.5+m! Kinda freaky huh. So everyone should really consider giving me more treats. :D

Ha Mrs Lim made the remedial students (includes me, of course) pair up, with each pair doing the learning outcomes for 2 topics. With this system, we're apparently gonna finish the entire syllabus in 2 weeks. Chia Wen and I've been totally cheated man, we're doing evolution on top of physiology and biochemistry, which is seriously alot! I just spent nearly 2 hours doing the first 3 outcomes of my part. And once again, I must say that I hate VJ's bio notes cos all they do is confuse and annoy me, confuse me again and ANNOY ME. On a lighter note, Mrs Lim will be checking through what we did first and she'll send it back to us if there's a lack of information. And yay, Chia Wen allowed me to use orange font to type it out LOL. Though Mrs Lim will probably send it back to me in black and white. Wahahax.

Congrats to the DHSCO committee 08/09! Jiayu's the chairperson, that's so cool! Haha. Time flies man. 2 years ago, our batch stepped down and the sec 2 batch were just entering dazu. Now, even that batch has stepped down! From this new batch of committee onwards, most of them are gonna be so alien in my impression. Haha. Anyway, do a good job, yeah! Gold with Honours for SYF next year! :) And to my successor's successor's successor (that's 3 generations) Guanglin, good luck collecting and managing all that money! Hahahaha. :D :D

Woohoo, dinner with Arvin tomorrow, Jap food! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALERIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The killer turns 18 today! Wahahahax. That's my Bimbo Buddy, who has been an awesome, amazing friend! LOL. That reminds me, she called me yesterday and I decided to ask her some questions on normal distribution. She was yelling away (for whatever reason) and when I asked her if she'd got the answer, she said, "Wait, I'm complaining to Melvin about you." !!!!!! MEANIE. But since it's your birthday and I'm such a noble person, I'll let that pass, and here's your favourite bimbotic pink for you! Enjoy your eighteenth, KILLER! :D :D :D

A brief update on the instrument stock check on saturday. As usual, it was a dusty affair searching for instruments and squinting for their labels, then ticking against their numbers on the long, long sheets of paper. And not surprisingly, a few more dizis went missing (or in Ms Meta's words, not missing, but somewhere out there, to be found) HAHA. I'm glad the finding job isn't gonna be mine anymore. Good luck to the next batch, go find all your missing instruments and tuners! My job is DONE muahaha. :D

Roar. Mr Seet decided to catch people without ties last friday (that includes your truly) and our punishment is that we have to wear our ties this whole week, from assembly all the way till 12.30pm! Apparently, the subject tutors have been informed to check for our ties (though frankly speaking, I don't think S34's tutors will care, thankfully). Yeah we were supposed to start wearing our ties today but all of us didn't receive news of that. So, as punishment once again, we're supposed to wear our ties till next monday! GOODNESS. I'll look like some retard wearing a tie when the rest of the world isn't. Argh!

Haha, chem practical today was rather funny. For one, it was the first time I witnessed Audrey's way of doing things, and it was super amusing! Both of us went to get test tubes, and I just grabbed a bundle of them. And she was like, "No, no, you can't just grab any test tubes, you have to check if they're clean!" Then began her meticulous inspection of the many test tubes in the tray. Reminds me of shopping for fruits at a supermarket HAHA. After that, she went to wash them and she washed them one by one! Gosh, I wonder how she had time to complete her QA in secondary school hahahaha. Then again, we're talking about a future doctor here! Lol. Oh, and during one of the experiments, there was a lot of effervescence in the test tube which Eng Hwee was holding and the solution looked like it was gonna spurt out of the test tube. And Sharon went to push Eng Hwee's hand away and the test tube went towards Huijin's face. So there was basically alot of screaming from our group lol!

Hahaha. Took 55 home with Sharon and she was really happy, giggling non-stop on the bus. For a certain reason heh! LOL! =P

Argh I really shouldn't be here. I should be STUDYING. Study, study, study....................

Seriously, Audrey's middle name should be Saboteur, she's so evil. During bio tutorial today...

Audrey: Ruth, why didn't you copy down the answer to this question?
Me: It's not in my syllabus.
Audrey: Mrs Lim, is Gene Therapy in the H1 syllabus?
Mrs Lim: No, it's not.
Audrey: Then does Ruth have to copy down the answer?
Mrs Lim: Ruth arh.................................. *about to start nagging when someone talked to her or something*

LOL! See, Audrey's mean! Thankfully someone asked Mrs Lim a question or I'd have to copy down something that's NOT IN MY SYLLABUS hahahahaha. :P

Lol! Math lecture was quite amusing. Jieying was sleeping, and Chia Wen and I were talking over her head. Apparently she heard us, so she woke up and Chia Wen jumped in shock, which shocked Jieying too LOL! That was retarded but I kept laughing lol! Jieying and I didn't bring our notes, so both of us were talking about random stuff like our childhood haha! Oh yes, thanks Jieying for my super belated birthday present! She gave me candles spelling HAPPY BIRTHDAY (super cute) and a chicken little file! :D :D

Hoho I'm researching on universities and courses cos I still don't really know what I wanna do next time. I was telling a few people that I feel like applying to the UK for fun (not exactly for fun, to try yeah) but I don't have the confidence to. Haha! Oh well. I'll see. Predicting LCC's words, "Huh? Are you sure you want to apply? Cannot lah, SURE FAIL!" LOL!!!!!

Haha I was telling Audrey and Jieying about what I wanna study next time, maybe something business-related. And they said after I graduate, I can do take over my family's business. Audrey said she has faith that I will build the fourth integrated resort and the tallest building in the world. LOL! Yeah, that's my new-found aspiration. To build the tallest building in the world. And don't worry Audrey, I'll give you your requested office for a clinic. I'll give you the whole level HAHAHAHAHA.

I should stop dreaming and study first. Lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUIJIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't think you'll see this, but yeah, thanks for being such an awesome friend! Whee love you loads! :D

This is part of the "card" (a storybook of GP essays, according to Amelia and Huijin) I made for her. Don't you think it's nice? I think it is HAHA.

My biggest accomplishment of the past few days, I finally went to fish for all my long-lost notes! And I'm amazed at how many notes I actually have lol. It's so cool, finding all the notes dating way back to the beginning of last year. And I filed them! So now I have four fat files of notes. I'm feeling proud of myself, praise me! Hahahahaha. Now, I really HAVE to start studying. There're only 50 plus, 60 days left to the prelims and I've got minimal time to cover 2 whole years' work. Sigh!

Haha yesterday's GP lesson was really hilarious. It was Ms Wong's birthday, and Mark and Calvin were supposed to walk in to class late and surprise her with a cake. But happened that she was walking around outside the classroom and she spotted them downstairs with the cake LOL! Anyway, she asked us to move down to the math resource room for our lesson and we had this new plan. So we entered the math resource room...

Class: Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to AMELIA!!!!! Happy birthday to you
A very stunned Ms Wong (to Mei Ching or whoever): Isn't Amelia's birthday on the 6th? (No, it was 3 months ago actually lol)
Someone: Okay lah, now real one.
Class: *Sings for Ms Wong*

HAHA! Ms Wong's face was really funny! Yeah, happy belated birthday, Ms Wong! :) :)

Lol I was supposed to take part in the inter-house soccer yesterday, but I decided that I'm really afraid of soccer so I shouldn't embarrass the house. I think I've taken part in enough inter-house games already! Credit goes to Hannah LOL! Yeah, Valerie praised me for being a good girl and going home wahahax.

Went for a business and accountancy talk by NTU today. It was alright, but I don't think I'll wanna go to NTU. For one, it's at freaking boon lay and for another, I don't know, but I get some cocky air from there haha. Audrey says we can meet up next time and travel to NUS together. Since we only live one lane apart and NUS is so far, our parents aren't gonna fetch us. Lol.

Today's a happy and demoralising day, rolled into one. The demoralising parts. I got U for bio and chem! Like goodness, at this juncture and I'm still getting U's, more than one at that. I was saying that (in mahjong terms) I might pong U, but fortunately I didn't. Still, 2 U's is equally bad. Ha I looked at my chem paper and beside the score, Mr Lim wrote, "Sure fail!" and I was like, whatever, that's so Mr Lim. And OMG Jarren said that he's a christian! I almost fainted when I heard that. Him? A christian? My toes will just laugh. But apparently, it's true. Wow.

Got back our econs today too. I kept thinking that I'd fail and I was very scared when we were getting back our papers. I saw my paper and Amelia took it for me. I wanted to quickly take it from her and cover it up but I was wondering why was she holding on to it and showing it to Huijin. They said my case study mark was quite high, so I looked, 17/30. Okay, that's quite lucky, but I think I'll screw up my essays. *Flips to the first essay*, 17/25 (STUNNED) *flips to the second essay*, 7/25 (LOL). Haha I was very, very, very relieved that I passed! Audrey said that I could still pass despite putting in quite little effort (no, I think it was quite alot!), so I can do well if I'm more hardworking. Haha she said that cos I called her up 2 days before the exam to ask for help, cos my inflation, BOP and some other notes were blank. But I thought I did put in quite alot of effort into econs. Like I really sat there and read my notes carefully and properly! Haha. And of course, thank God!! :) And thanks Audrey for saving my life! Haha.

Went to swensens after school today with Amelia and Huijin. Being the birthday girl, Huijin got a free ice cream! Haha. We were doing stupid stuff there, taking lots of silly pictures. Haha Amelia, I want the photos!!!! Oh we met Ms Wong at parkway! She was there to celebrate her birthday with her class haha.

Thank you Hannah for the really encouraging card! I was really touched when I read it. Yeah, let's work hard together and not let people like LCC look down on us! (Actually, I don't really care what he thinks haha). And yes, God is always there to help us! And and Hannah, I didn't steal your ruler okay! LOL!!!!!

Thursday, July 03, 2008

Hoho I strolled into school at 1 plus pm today lol! Cos my dad woke me up at 8.30 and since I was already late, I decided to go back to sleep and just go for the last 2 periods to get back my chem and math papers. And I wasn't gonna walk in in the middle of bio class with my stem cells tutorial undone hehe. Yeah I went to join my class for break and they were like, "Good morning Ruth, just woke up right! Let's lay a red carpet!" HAHA. They told me that Mrs Lim was frantically looking for me during bio. She repeatedly asked where was I, whether I knew that I was supposed to be there, and according to Jieying, they ignored her lol. Aye can't be helped that she urgently needed to look for her model student LOL!

We got back our chem MCQ and math today. Bad, but chem was total tyco. When we walked into the S & T centre for chem, we realised that Mr Lim flashed all our MCQ marks on the screen. He showed the cohort statistics too. The average mark's 10/30! I went to look for my name, expecting some single digit near 0. I couldn't believe it when I saw that I got 10! Had to stare and stare and stare. And I couldn't stop laughing after that. That's not cos I knew my work or anything, cos I practically guessed every question. Haha Jieying and Huijin were like, "Omg Ruth, you got a double digit!" "What the hell, you got 10!" Haha, but the paper's really psychotic and my guessing skills were not bad, that's all. When we get back our structured questions........ that's a different story altogether haha! Mr Lim said that Mr Chok's leaving soon, that means this year's J1 batch won't get a psychotic paper next year! Lucky them heh.

Ha my math was terrible! I knew it was gonna be terrible, and I didn't dare look at the paper for fear of seeing my first U in math, which was really very likely. Haha I almost got a U! I looked at my paper and saw 31, with a sad smiley. I didn't really feel anything cos on one hand I expected it, but on the other, I felt a little disappointed cos that was the lowest mark I ever got for math. And this is not a good time to get that yeah. Haha. But who can I blame! Yep Mr Teo came to talk to me. He said something like, "Why like that? Put in effort for every single subject except math is it? Skipping those remedial sessions made a difference right? It's okay, I can help you. I'll do what I can, but you must put in effort too."............... then I don't know why, but I tear-ed! And Mr Teo was quite shocked. He was like, "Omg I'm not scolding you you know! It's okay, it's okay!" Haha. I tear-ed cos I was super touched! Like, Mr Teo's still helping me even after I've disappointed him like 3286096859082 times. I thought he'd really give up on me, especially since he always says that he doesn't help students when they don't help themselves and only look for him at the last minutes. Yeah I felt very guilty too. Roar I really must work hard, he's the last teacher I want to give up on me! Hee.

Ah I hate getting back results! It always gets people so sad, and it's quite sad seeing other people disappointed, whether because their expectations are too high, or for whatever reason. And to my dear friend, cheer up! You really did alright, and you know that you have the ability to do well! Don't let this minor setback get you down. Let's work hard together yeah! You can do it! And I can do it too..................? Hahahaha.

Hoho I'm finally done with my T3A! But I think it's quite short and I really wrote quite a lot of nonsense. I bet Mdm Wee will be laughing when she received it for verification. HAHA. Oh well, I think I'm pretty honest though! And I definitely didn't sell myself shamelessly! Yay, three cheers for me! Wahahax.

Sian. I'm still not in the mood for school! Much less studying. But I really should start.............. that's what I always say, I'm sure all of you are bored of reading it. Ha oh well. I dare not think about my results anymore. I really should go see the HOD first. Haha. Yay, last school day of the week tomorrow! Press on, everyone! Hahahaha. :D

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Haha! This is really late but I shall blog about how idiotic Cristal and I were when we went to welcome Joanne back at the airport two fridays ago lol. Firstly, we were totally genius cos we only asked her what time would her flight be landing, and completely forgot about the flight number. (Actually, she did email us the flight number but I think we didn't check our mails or something haha). Yeah, I went online to check the flights arriving at that time, and there were like 4 flights, 2 at T1 and 2 at T3. Lol I had this feeling it would be at T3, but Cristal felt it would be at T1. So we were at different places trying to spy for a Joanne-like person. We didn't even know how much she'd changed LOL. We were basically being retarded, communicating on the phone going, "I don't see anyone, seems like everyone has left", "What if her whole family has gone home?" blah blah. Hahaha. All of a sudden, this lady turned to ask me if I was waiting for Joanne. And it turned out to be Joanne's mum! Gosh, to think I didn't recognise her and I was standing beside her for like an eternity HAHA. Yeah that was stupid. I'll remember to inquire about the flight number next time! Lol.

Last friday was singing at Teo Heng! With Hongming, Weiliang, Xiuxian, Stefanie, Lucas, Cephia, Benedict, Chin Cher, Tingkai..... It was fun! Yay singing! :D :D

These two days of lessons have been boring. For one, I haven't adjusted my body clock so I've been dazing around hahaha. And for another, there's this huge feeling of impending doom in the form of our CT 2 results! Please, just burn my scripts or something. And perhaps I should just go see the HOD first hahaha. Ooh, Jieying, Shimin, Amelia and I played bridge during chem lecture yesterday! Cos all of us didn't bring our notes lol. Apparently we made a bit of noise and got shushed by some people from another class haha! Oops. :/ Yawn, getting back chem and math this thurday. I'm bracing myself!

I haven't started on my T3A and it's due this friday! I've got all 3 ready, just that I don't know how to go about writing. I'll feel really bad if I say "Ruth has been a responsible sectional leader"........ Argh. I MUST get started on it soon! Otherwise my leaving certificate will really be blank haha.

This is only the second day of school, and I'm feeling so tired. I'm sleep-deprived, give me back my holidays!!!!!

Friday, June 27, 2008

Yea the nightmare of CT 2's finally over! At least for a few days, till we get back our results. Haha honestly, I've never felt so mentally drained before. I was already more than three-quarters dead after bio and econs, which were the first 2 papers. And for those 2 papers I really felt the urge to give up halfway, cos I just couldn't remember what I read heh. Math was screwed-up, I looked at the first question and spent a long time thinking, "Are we supposed to use our GC here?" Lol. I got myself so confused, I kept swearing at the paper haha. Mr Teo's so gonna scold me upside down, especially since my 3 remedial worksheets are overdue by more than a month. Ha chem, I've never felt so tired doing a chem paper before, cos all the while I've been knowing nothing and just guessing my way through. Guess this was the first time I actually cracked my brains trying to remember all the reagents and conditions and whatnots. To not much avail, though. I'm convinced that my memory indeed has less than 2GB of space. Haha chem MCQ was amusing. They gave out the papers and I was like, "My goodness, it's freaking thicker than our structured questions and essays!" Yeah, I was actually quite free cos I was guessing most of them. As Chia Wen said, they might have just let us shade the OAS without giving us the question paper, we might have gotten higher marks LOL! And Amelia's method of guessing is super hilarious! She keyed in random numbers into the calculator, times, divide, whatever, and looked at the last number to determine her answer. 1 is A, 5 is also A, and so on. LOL! Yeah. Enough about CT 2, shan't brood over it anymore. Thanks Audrey! Yeah, God is the Great I Am! :) :)

More about the super cool resort I went to last week, plus pictures, and an account of how gundu Cristal and I were when we went to the airport to welcome Joanne home. All this after I get home from Teo Heng! Yes, we're going singing, the CO people! Whee! Stay tuned! HAHAHA =D

And of course,

Happy birthday Rouhui, my dearest mortal and my mum's student! Hahahahaha. Yeah it's 5 hours belated, but I've wished her already hohoho. :D

Friday, June 20, 2008

I think 50 people are gonna yell at me when they see this. But yeah. I went singing at Teo Heng with Cristal, Yuqian and Lam Lee on tuesday! Haha. Yes I know I'm supposed to be studying but I'm nocturnal, so I only study throughout the night hehe. Anyway, our singing session was really fun! And funny hahaha. They showed me this song by Jay Chou, I think it's Yi Fu Zhi Ming or something like that. There's this super high banshee-like falsetto when the rap comes in, and they asked me to try doing it. So I did, and I was addicted to doing that for the rest of the session HAHA. And they regretted showing me that song! Cos I was so obsessed with using my falsetto and I kept using it at random moments. I sang the whole Zhi Zu in my falsetto! Hahahahaha. Gosh but it's really fun imitating a banshee HAHA. Oh they kept saying I've got a "Ruth style" to my singing which is distinct, cos of my weird pronunciation of words. And they kept picking out the words that I pronounce weirdly. Heh I think my pronunciation's perfectly normal! Haha.

Rarh I've been spending a fair amount of time at Viwawa lately playing bridge. Some partners are just crazy. One person bidded 7 spades (I had quite a lot of spades) and I was so scared he'd call me. In the end he called some random 8-diamond card which thankfully wasn't me. And my partner and I won 11 sets! Hahaha. Ooh I showed Joanne the site, and we were playing 2 nights ago (that crazy girl was still having her A levels!) lol. Shows how super well-prepared she is, a state that I'll never be in hehe. Oh yeah and this amusing game was going on.

After Joanne revealed herself and that she could trump spades, her partner plays some random suit that's neither trump nor spades.
Joanne: Toot leh she, dunno how to play spades arh!
(My partner wins this round, plays a spade)
Me: There, MY partner just played a spade for you!
Some partners are just weird HAHA. But that game was really quite amusing and I was laughing non-stop haha!

Whee Joanne comes back from the UK today! Yuqian, Cristal, Lam Lee (hopefully) and I are going to the airport later! Roar that lucky girl finished her A levels yesterday! My goodness, that's even before we start our CT 2 heh. And she's entering university in september, when we're still doing our prelims! Haha, the difference between the UK and Singapore's education systems lol.

I'm off to a chalet tonight! No don't scold me, I'm not going there to play. It's this resort that my dad's company built for the Singapore Armed Forces people, so we're allowed to stay there for free. And that's why my dad called us to go. I didn't wanna go initially, but now I think it's quite cool. I've been there before, and the place is really huge. Who knows, I may be able to study fantastically well there. And I'd better study, cos I won't be back till sunday. Haha so please don't miss me too much, everyone! Hahaha.

Alright, I'm off to Viwawa now! LOL!

Monday, June 16, 2008

HELLO I'M BACK! Hahahaha. Yay, I managed to study! Studied 4 chapters of econs, but I wonder if my brain actually registered what I read. Haha. Ohh I got a shock when I flipped my Economic Growth notes, cos it was so filled with handwriting, made me wonder since when do I write soo much stuff in my notes. Ha and I realised that it was Huijin who copied that entire chapter for me LOL! I just had breakfast, and I'm feeling quite awake actually. Haha Vivian didn't sleep the whole night too! She was rushing her homework before leaving for her SC camp. Busy life eh. Haha. Okay, bedtime for me! :)

This marks the end of my 6 years in CO! Ha. Time flies eh? Looking back at all the sectionals, orchestral practices, concerts, SYFs, overseas trips (China, Malaysia, China............. Hong Kong lol).......... it is rather sad that everything's over and we must all go back to our books now. Oh well. But all these will stay as beautiful memories! :)

Speaking of overseas trips, Vivian bought me food from China! Yup, the DHSCO trip haha. She told me lots of stuff about the trip too, and it really sounds super fun! Of course, which overseas trip ain't fun haha. And she updated me about the new scandals too lol. Tsk tsk. Oh, apparently Sky was the tour guide for Lan Dui! He'd have been my tour guide too if I'd gone! But if I'd gone, there goes my CT 2 haha. Lol Jeenise asked Vivian if my room's always this messy, or do I purposely make it messy when visitors come HAHA. Heh, but I think my room's quite neat now, after the maid packed it while I was away in Hong Kong! And now all the more I can't find my notes hehe. Ah Vivian told me that she and Jeenise wanted to buy me a pair of orange and green shoes! But they didn't know my size haha!

Whee DHSCO's having their committee interviews soon! I've been invited back and I kinda feel like going but that's a crazy decision, so I shan't think of it. Maybe I'll go back next year, to watch my COUSIN having her interview LOL! Okay, that's random.

Anyway, I just came back from my cousins' house. We watched Incredible Tales! I don't watch it, but I just watched it with them cos they wanted to watch. Today's episode was about some bloody mary thing, that "mary" will be unleashed when you stand in front of a mirror and chant "bloody mary" 3 times. I mentioned that I wanna try it, but my cousins said it won't work on all mirrors or something haha. I shall still believe that all these superstitions are bull. Haha Vanessa's so funny! She was scared, so she came to squeeze beside me and everytime she was scared, she'd pinch me. And it hurts you know! Not to mention that Nicholas kept scaring her with "gosh, something just flew past", and she'd constantly pinch me. Poor me! Hahaha but she's super cute lah. Look at this picture!

Cute eh? I'm trying to imagine her playing erhu. Haha!

My day's been nothing but unproductive man. I went to church, came home, napped till 7pm, went to my grandfather's house to celebrate Fathers' Day, went to my cousins' house to play, and just came back not long ago. BUT I'll make up for it, I'm gonna study from 2am to 8am later! Hahaha Sharon requested for a morning call at 8, and said she'll give me my "afternoon call" haha. Whee I feel excited about my mugging plans for later! Hopefully I don't get so bored and go to sleep. Haha!

Yay, I'm having roti prata for supper! :D :D

And Happy Fathers' Day!

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Seriously, how can anyone stand coffee?

I've been kinda living at kallang macs this week, going there to mug with Yuqian and Lam Lee. The place has really changed since our DHS days, it's so cosy now! And there seems to be quite few people, which is good. Haha yeah, Yuqian and I've been going there at 8am, isn't that early! Forget about Lam Lee, she's always 2 hours late. One day when she's ever punctual I'll go buy 4D wahahax.

Went to school today for math consultation with Mr Teo. Lol, he said that we're free to look for him anytime from 8.30am to 11am but ended no one went that early and the whole bunch of us (7 from our class) crowded into the math resource room at 10 lol! We had to wait kinda long to ask our questions haha! Was quite funny, hearing him complain non-stop lol. Yup I asked a number of retarded conics and curve sketching questions, couldn't wait to leave, so I left halfway. Went to meet Yuqian at kallang mac. Lam Lee didn't join us today cos her mum was scolding her or something. Scariness. I spent my time doing AP/GP and that's all. Omg, at the rate I'm studying, by the time CT 2 comes, I won't have finished half of my topics. Help!

Let's see. I'd like to believe I'm almost done with chemistry but I guess that's not true cos I just keep forgetting my stuff. For math, I've only revised several of last year's topics, leaving a huge chunk of stats (GROAN) and vectors, which I shall start on tomorrow. I mean, later. Haha, everytime I express my cluelessness about my topics, Yuqian will ask, "Haven't your school teachers taught this?" To which I'll say, "Yes they have, but I haven't learnt." That's right, I'm lagging 1000 miles behind everyone else. I haven't touched econs, God bless me, and as for bio, I don't feel like it's in my syllabus at all. Oops. Yeah, that's the status of my studying, not that optimistic huh? Oh well. I MUST finish vectors later! Going to kallang mac again hoho.

Haha Audrey sent me a rather random msg a few days ago, asking if I'm studying, telling me not to think about CO anymore, and that she'll pray for me! Thanks Audrey!! Haha I'd really like to believe that I'm studying, but the hours I'm putting in are less than half of my sleeping time! Okay don't scold me, I'll try to reverse it. Hehe. I have to, anyway, cos this is my last holiday to really catch up. Ah. The Lord will provide yeah! Go go go! And all the best too, everyone! Don't be stressed, take a breather, and........ stay gay! Hahahahahaha. :D

Happy birthday Amanda! Please be super honoured that I typed this here and what's more, it's not in pink! Wahahahax.

I'm not a negative influence!!!!! Hmph!

Haha went to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian yesterday with Yuqian and Lam Lee. The show's nice! And more importantly, William Moseley's (Peter) very good-looking! LOL.

Huijin and I went to study today! Yeah, finally. We went to Junction 8. Cos it's nearer to her house and she always goes to Parkway, so I decided to be nice, as always wahahax. And I realise that it's actually not that long a distance from my house. The MRT ride's only half an hour, how cool. We went to Thai Express for lunch, then studied at macs. I spent the first few minutes laughing non-stop at my super-sized coke, I never knew a large coke's so large HAHA. Anyway, I studied organic chem! I keep forgetting my stuff roar. Lol I was writing out some reagents and Huijin said that's the first time she's seeing a piece of paper so filled with my handwriting. Heh. And she just wouldn't stop saying that I'm a negative influence! Just cos she was hardworking last year but suddenly became quite slack. LOL! That's rather amusing eh. But but but, it's not my fault okay! :) GOSH I realised that she still owes me $20! And I forgot to get it back from her! It's no wonder I'm so broke. Oh, I have half a mind to change some of my remaining HK money to pounds HAHA.

Lol Lam Lee msg-ed me at 2 plus am yesterday just to ask if I was awake haha! Of course I'd be, I'm nocturnal during the holidays. Yeah we were msg-ing each other until 4 plus, talking about our favourite guys and how it's so coincidental that they're all born in 1987 HAHAHA.

Whee all the best to those taking SATs tomorrow! Or rather, later. Valerie, Huijin, Amelia, Jessie, Hannah, Melissa.............. and anyone else! Ahh I'm so throwing my future away, I'm not even bothering about SATs. Maybe I'll take it after A's. Wahahax. Oh, someone tell me the deadline for the first draft of our T3A!

I'm back from the CO chalet! Feeling kinda sleepy now, and a little sad. Yeah, before I talk about the chalet..... I went to the dentist yesterday! Dr Lim told me that my wisdom tooth's growing out. Which I realised last week actually, cos it hurt rather badly for the first few days. But I was quite scared, so I didn't tell anyone about it hahaha (stupid eh). That was during the HK trip, and eating was such a torture. But it's not hurting all that badly now, and Dr Lim said that it's growing quite well, so there's no need for an extraction! YAY! That's the most important part man. She told me to be prepared that it might hurt during exam periods cos I won't have enough sleep. So now I guess I have an excuse to sleep? LOL!

Went to meet Amanda after my dental appointment and we cabbed down to Aranda (this is so Valerie omg lol). There was supposed to be wet games at the beach or something in the afternoon but ended up everyone was slacking at the chalet haha. Tingkai, Tenghui and Xiangle were sharing ghost stories haha! But I still think that Jiayun and Amanda's screams are scarier than any ghost story wahahax. And I'm still gonna just turn my head when someone calls me from behind at night lol!

We just slacked around the whole afternoon playing cards (CHEAT!) until the handover. Mingcong bought me an orange watch! I think it's nice but a little big. I'll still wear it though! Haha. Oh, the J2 EXCO received our certificates too. And.............. MY SURNAME'S SPELT WRONGLY!!!!!!! I'm so sad about that! They spelt it as Zhou instead of Zhuo sigh. :( Haha I gave it to Fong Sun for safe-keeping, since she brought a file to the chalet lol. I hope I remember to get it back.

The BBQ was after the handover and I didn't wish to go downstairs so early, so I stayed in the room to pass time listening to Fong Sun's fantastic (DBS) achievements (Go Fong Sun! Facebook, facebook! Hahahahaha), camwhoring with Jiayun using Xiuxian's phone (she'll be shocked HAHA) and playing cards! Guoxiang was there, so imagine the cheating HAHA. Not really actually, cos Jonathan discovered that we exchanged a card during bridge LOL.

The BBQ was nice, there was so much food! Ha and Mdm Wee's convinced that I actually eat quite a lot, just that I can't grow horizontally. Yeah, waste food hahahaha. Oh oh! Hongming told me about the arrival of this person, and I went "HUH?!?!?!" in my disgusting voice, which happened to fly off somewhere mysteriously. Then he went to tell Xingzhong, whose reply was "WOOHOO!!!!!" sarcastically, of course. That was super hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing hahaha. And yes, I lost my voice yesterday! Everything was still fine until the handover when I realised that my voice was quite weird. By night time it was 95% gone lol. You know, it's been 9 years since I last lost my voice lol.

Night time was spent playing mahjong! Siyuan, Yanling, Fong Sun and I played from like 12am to 5am haha. And it was super amusing. We firmly believe that the Fa tile is cursed. There was once Yanling was waiting for that tile to game, but Fong Sun and I were each holding on to one, and she couldn't game. Another time I was waiting for it to game but it never ever came. Apparently Yanling had 2 of the tiles, and I had the other 2. So both of us couldn't game as well wahahax. For subsequent rounds, everyone started throwing away the Fa tiles lol. Ah and they kept saying that I always hog other people's tiles so that no one can game LOL! Omg I'm so innocent! Not like Weiliang, who really intentionally hogs people's tiles HAHAHA. I wanted to carry on playing, but I KO-ed at 5 plus, was too tired haha. Oh, I think Jiayun is super funny! Everytime she sees me she'll go "YO!" then start laughing non-stop. I think my aura's too overwhelming eh LOL!

We checked out today and like last year, I became rather emo when I got home. The usual emptiness when everything's over. Last year, I missed the seniors. Now, I miss the juniors! Just that this time, it's like everything's really over. No more CO activities, no more practices.............. Yeah I can still go back, but the feeling will be different I guess. Gosh, I'm really missing CO practices! And I'm not gonna have anymore of them. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :( :( :( Oh well, but everything must come to an end eh? As usual, I'm looking back on my childish moments, realising that none of those stuff really matter and that I was just being........ childish. Haha. Those memories will always be beautiful! Yay, VJCO rocks! I'm gonna be missing everyone for quite some time, so please miss me too! :)

Sunday, June 01, 2008

HAHA oh gosh I've been laughing non-stop for the past few hours! I feel a little mad but it's all thanks to Valerie and Yuqian LOL! I was talking to Valerie on the phone and she kept saying that she had to go but she wanted to talk to me, so she kept saying, "3 more minutes, 3 more minutes". She said I'm as addictive as the TV LOL!!!!! Tsk, I really can't help it that my voice's so pleasing to the ears HAHA. In the end she hung up, but she called me again after a while LOL! And guess what, she said that after talking to me and hearing my happy voice, she doesn't feel like studying for the rest of the week. She called me a bad influence! Whoa I feel so innocent, I didn't even do anything lah! Hmph. Anyway, I'm not a bad influence! I'm just a mugger wahahahax. =D Valerie's mean. I asked her for the CT 2 topics (yes, I don't know hehe) and she said I was disrupting her so she hung up. >.< Lol!

Yuqian's another mad one man. She told me she's gonna wake up at 5am tomorrow. That's still alright, but she actually said she's gonna wake me up too! My goodness. But it's quite exciting eh, being the only awake soul in my house wahahax. And maybe I can discover that my optimum studying time is at 5am. That will be cool hahahahaha.

I've decided not to go for the chalet tomorrow, so that my dad won't nag at me too much if I just go for 2 days hahaha. Valerie and Yuqian advised me to just go on the second day too. Yay, feels good to have made up my mind wahahax. Whee I can't wait for the chalet! :D

In the meantime, I should study. Haha! Wow, call me a mugger!
Yay, Shiang Nee uploaded the photos we took at sakae last friday! Which isn't many actually hahaha. But yeah, here they are!

Everyone else's wearing nice clothes cos they ponned school! Lol.

Huijin and Hannah

Huijin, Hannah, Shiang Nee

Zzzz......

Ah I miss S34! If not for CT2, I'd gladly have school reopen anytime soon hahaha.

Went to marina square yesterday with Lam Lee and Yuqian. For the first time ever, I was late! Actually, the more surprising thing is that I was later than Lam Lee! Haha. Yup I went there to shop for Mingcong's present(s). I think the stuff I bought him are nice, so he'd better like them! And I overshot my budget as usual lol.

I thought I was super efficient buying the presents! I got it done really quickly, so we went to eat at swensens since there was the 1-for-1 sundae thing. Haha Lam Lee was showing us her 100 over pictures of some Japanese or whichever nationality guys in her phone. When Yuqian and I saw them, we were like, "Why do you have so many pictures of girls in your phone!" LOL! But really, those guys look quite gay, especially those where they posed with fruits HAHA. Yeah and we were talking about our parents, who always scold us whenever the computer hangs. Like, "I told you not to change the wallpaper!" or "See, you shouldn't have downloaded your silly programmes and gone to those funny websites!" Parents............. LOL!

I realise I'm officially stepping down in 3 days' time. Sigh, it's always that very depressing feeling when seniors are leaving, then we're leaving, and all that. Oh well............ Ah I wanna go for all 3 days of the chalet! But I've got something on on the second morning. Hmmm. I'll see who's going. Yay, it's gonna be fun! Probably the last time I get to really play before I start slogging for the influx of examinations. Haha!

I'm still missing the Hong Kong trip! And I know Huijin must have missed me during the trip, cos she can't wait to ask me out! To study. HAHAHA.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOOJOO!!!!!!!! You can buy alcohol! Hahahaha :D :D :D

Friday, May 30, 2008

I'm back from Hong Kong! Missed me, didn't you! Wahahahax. Gosh, I can't believe 5 days ZOOM-ED by like that. Yeah it's only 5 days but still, that's too fast! Argh I miss HK!!!!! :( :(

Day One - Welcome to Hong Kong!
Didn't do much, other than watch a musical performance by one of the COs there. The standard was good, of course, just that the songs were quite boring hehe. We had some time after that to do some shopping at this shopping centre near "Snoopy Land" (or what it's called) and I was really overwhelmed by the number of people inside. Not to mention they were walking at such a fast pace, makes it all the more intimidating. Oh, and we had a really hard time looking for the escalators lol. Cos they were all over the place, some escalators went up 2 floors, and it was basically a chore looking for the correct escalator haha. But yeah, it was a nice experience. :)

Day Two - Musical Exchance
Did some sight-seeing in the morning. We went to The Peak, and I think the view there's really beautiful! The buildings all look kinda interesting hahaha. We proceeded to Diocesan Boys' school after that for our "performance". They performed for us before we performed for them. Their intonation's good, dynamics're good, but I thought it was rather robotic. Could be due to the fact that the songs they played didn't have distinct tunes, such that all 3 songs sounded the same lol. But yeah, they're definitely very disciplined. And there's this suona guy who's really good! He seemed to play so effortlessly, as though he were playing a sheng or dizi lol. Yeah, I eagerly went up to present him my school badge haha! I think our "performance" was okay. I'm glad I held the last note for tuo ling, I'm not sure why I was so amused during sai ma but I was just laughing throughout the piece (to myself of course) and I didn't play it exactly well but at least I came in at the important parts (that's what I think lol), Canon in D was far too slow and I almost fell asleep playing it (I think the boys almost did too), and our dizi song was alright (yay!). Yup, I'm just glad it was an exchange haha. At night was fun, we went to a hospital to watch a CO practice! Haha yeah the practice is in the hospital cos the CO's made up of doctors and nurses and surgeons and all those people! Cool huh! I thought it was really, really fun cos they were all so warm and friendly and we felt so welcomed! They even invited us to play their song together with them haha. After which they requested us to perform some of our songs for them haha. I think we should all model ourselves after them. They're definitely busy people, being doctors and all that, yet they still find time for weekly CO practices. And as students we pon our practices like free. So stop ponning! LOL!!!

Day Three - Sight-seeing cum Shopping
We went to see the Big Buddha on Lantau Island, and the ride there was like a roller-coaster ride. The place is on top of a mountain, and the bus driver was turning and zooming everywhere, making me feel so giddy lol. Anyway, it takes 268 steps to climb to the Big Buddha lol. It was very windy up there and I was half scared that I would be blown off wahahax. When Joey saw me he said, "Eh Ruth, you're still here! I thought you got blown away!" >.<

Day Four - Ocean Park
Went to watch a practice by HKCO in the morning. I was quite fascinated by a couple of unfamiliar-looking instruments around haha. It was quite alright, but I wasn't like WOW, impressive! Haha. The highlight of the day's our visit to Ocean Park! It was really fun! And I think that this should be added to my Top 3 Achievements. I actually tried out the Abyss! It's this thing that raises you up a super tall tower-like structure, then drops you down at lightning speed in 10 seconds or so. Before arriving at Ocean Park, I thought that I probably wouldn't go on any rides cos I'm a loser when it comes to scary rides haha. But I can't believe I actually went to try the Abyss! Joey, Xingzhong, Fiona, Weiliang and I went to try it haha. Joey told us to keep our mouths shut so that when our organs fly up, we can swallow them back down. LOL!!!! My goodness. Haha everything was alright initially, cos going up wasn't exactly fast. What's more, Weiliang gave a yell all of a sudden and I couldn't help laughing. But I started to feel really scared when we were at the top. I didn't know when we were gonna drop down, and all I could do was pray. "God, please don't let me die on my way down!" I was praying halfway AND WE WENT DOWN! Omg, I'm very sure it's faster than lightning speed lol. We were lifted off our seats and we could only cling onto the red thing that prevents us from flying off. That was my best friend in that 1 minute or so hahaha. Yeah I was quite scared, so I screamed like anything to make myself better lol. Fiona thought I was dying or something, so she reached out to comfort me. She actually dared to remove a hand from the red thing! Lol. Zilu commented that my legs looked really funny. Cos I was kicking everywhere hahaha. But I felt really exhilarated after the ride. Like wow, I survived such a scary ride! I rock man! Hahahahaha. Another unbelievable thing's that I rode it for a second time! Cos they managed to drag Mdm Wee to ride with us, so all 5 of us decided to ride again. I almost chickened out at the last minute! I really wanted to get off the seat but the guy already pressed the button to start the whole ride. I was actually more scared the second time haha. After us shouting, "GO MDM WEE!!!!!" we were off! I was still scared when we plunged down, but it wasn't as scary actually. Haha. Anyway, the point is that I feel extremely proud of my courage LOL! A few of us went for the Raging River after that. It was fun! Having the water splash onto us haha. Even though the water isn't exactly clean... it was still nice hahaha. We went shopping at Ladies' Market again after that. This time, we bought our shoes! The colour's really bright and I'm so gonna shock my whole class. Not that they aren't already shocked by my current pair of shoes, which aren't exactly that bright are they! Haha. Yeah, managed to buy stuff for S34, my parents and friends too! :D

Lol I need 2 paragraphs for day four, cos I've got loads to say about our night-time card games! The curfew was at 3am, so we had a really long time to play. We went to Mingcong's room, where there were quite alot of people. We played bridge, dai dee and cheat hahaha. Guoxiang's freaking hilarious! His funny ways of talking and all the random languages he uses. Lol. He's just super funny man haha! I think I really spent the whole of last night laughing till I cried and my stomach ached lol! First was Guoxiang and his silly antics, then Amanda's sudden SCREAM when she looked at the TV (that scream was louder than Jiayun, Rebecca and Jasmine's combined), and not to mention that one game of cheat that got me laughing till I almost died lol. The person before me put a card in the 10, J, Q range, and I didn't have a single card in that range. But I saw this covered card on the table, so I took it and it was a Q, and I hurriedly put it. Cos Guoxiang peeped at my cards (as usual) and decided to give me a card LOL! Because of that I couldn't stop laughing for a long time lol! Yes and throughout the game we were exchanging cards like free, putting our cards on the table and taking each other's. And no one noticed LOL!!!! Omg everytime I think of it I'll laugh haha!

Day Five - Goodbye Hong Kong :(
We were supposed to go to the Chinese University of Hong Kong but it was raining heavily and not many people really wanted to go, so we went for a short shopping trip at this shopping centre. Zilu and I wanted to buy CDs but they were quite expensive sigh. Lunch was Korean buffet! It was somewhat like Seoul Garden haha. But we didn't have an equally long time. After that was shopping at the airport, then we had to check-in. :( Ah I was so sad then! Especially when we said goodbye to our tour guide, I nearly cried hee. Yay Fong Sun sat beside me on the plane! This time I didn't sleep cos I wanted to savour the last moments of the trip haha. I watched a bit of Enchanted to laugh at the part where Giselle opened the window to sing LOL. And Fong Sun was telling me about this yangqin guy from Diocesan LOL! After we arrived at the airport, Mingcong made me buy alcohol for him! Cos I'm 18 hahaha. He said he wanted to pretend that I'm his elder sister, so he said in front of the lady, "Jiejie hurry up, mummy's waiting." I was like, "WHAT!!!!!" The lady was quite friendly, so we chatted with her for a while. She was saying that we do not look alike and all that (of course we don't) LOL!!!

Some other highlights of the trip. We had 2 accidents in 2 days! The first one happened on the second day. Our bus was turning around this roundabout when a taxi rammed into it and the headlights of the taxi flew off. The HK police are really efficient man. Within a few seconds, a policeman arrived on his motorcycle and we were all really surprised haha. The second accident happened on the next day. This one was scarier. I was sleeping and listening to Boyband and I was about to reach the squeaky part when the bus all of a sudden gave a HUGE jerk and cards, water bottles and handphones started flying tothe front. I was alarmed, wondering what the hell was happening. Apparently some driver swerved into our lane and our driver tried to avoid him. That's what most people say. But at least we're all safe and sound! :)

Accidents aside, I got to know some people better and that's nice! Like Rebecca and Jasmine are totally crazy people lol. Especially Jasmine, who gives funny laughters at random moments. There was one night when Zilu and I were talking and all of a sudden we heard this giggle from their room. Zilu was like, "What are they doing!" LOL. Another night, we were about to enter our room from someplace. Zilu rings the doorbell. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" We heard this loud scream from inside and we were totally stunned. Like what's going on in our room! Haha turned out that Jasmine, Rebecca and Jiayun were trying clothes in our room and our ringing the doorbell shocked them LOL!!! I think their scream shocked us more lol. Haha and Jasmine's smart man. She very cleverly locked her key into her luggage and she couldn't open it lol. So we were struggling with safety pins for a while. Then she decided to use my nail clipper to clip away the metal part. I thought she was gonna do it will Christmas, until Zilu saved the day! She bent the safety pin, put it into the lock, turned it, and it opened! We decided that we're all gonna be careful of our house locks from now on HAHA. Yeah, and I never knew before the trip that Guoxiang's so funny lol. I'm thinking of the card game again LOL! And yes, Weiliang's super nice! Not that I didn't know that before but yeah, he's just really, really nice haha.

Ahhhh I MISS HONG KONG!!!!!!!!! The usual after-trip hangovers that I have. I miss VJCO! And I think the tour guide really rocks. He's such a nice person, and he's so passionate about his job! He's probably the best tour guide I've encountered in my 3 CO trips. I shall hunt for him on Facebook or something haha. Roar I wish the trip could be as long as DHSCO's, 9 to 10 days. But that's impossible haha. Talking about DHSCO, they're going to HK tomorrow! They're gonna have the same tour guide, go to one of the restaurants we went to for dinner, and stay in the same hotel! But of course, not for all 9 days haha. Just now I was contemplating camping at the airport and join DHSCO for another HK trip tomorrow HAHA. They'll be going for 9 days! And Vivian's going too! I shall ask her to tell Sky that her cousin went to HK too hahahaha.

Vivian's so funny. The moment I signed in, she went, "DAJIE!!!!! I GOT THE BLAZER THAT YOU BORROWED BEFORE! I'm honoured to my soles!" LOL!!!! Talk about coincidence, her getting the blazer I once borrowed. But well, our sizes are almost similar haha. Anyway, have fun, DHSCO! Wish I were still in HK. :(

I'm prepared to be feeling really sad tomorrow when I wake up. The usual depression I feel after I wake up from some big event. You know, the emptiness that you feel after everything is over. And besides, coming back means reality. It means that I should stop playing and sit down to REALLY STUDY. Recalling Mr Ho Wei Kang's words. Take the first week of the holidays to really unwind, and after that, you'll have to study at least 6 to 8 hours a day. There will be no more break for you all the way till after your A levels. It scares me to imagine how short time is. Ahhh. But yeah, I'm back, and I really should get started!

Hopefully Lam Lee, Yuqian and Cristal are free tomorrow! Lam Lee is, but the other 2 haven't replied. If they're free, I can go out instead of moping at home feeling sad that the trip is over haha. It's still the first week, I can still play! Hahahahaha. Ooh. Fong Sun's telling me that she found the vice-president of Diocesan CO on Facebook. LOL!!!

No pictures yet, cos they're all in random people's cameras haha. I didn't bring mine cos it's spoilt, and my phone will lag a thousand years. Look forward to seeing my noble face! :D

BRING ME BACK TO HONG KONG PLEASE!

Friday, May 23, 2008

Whee the holidays are heeeeeeere! And it's 2 more days to the Hong Kong trip! I'm having mixed feelings about it, but I hope it'll be fun. :D

CO pratices this week have been rather mentally draining. What with all that last-minute choosing of a dizi item (my fault), us screwing up yesterday when we were supposed to play for Mdm Wee, blah blah. But it was better today, on the whole. Ah I've got to play sai ma now! I remember back in DHS I used to dislike being accompaniment for xianyue cos of Wang Laoshi, who loved to drive me nuts and stress me totally lol. Thankfully there's no one doing that now haha. Ha I was sight-reading the score just now and smoking through here and there. But I think I was not bad already! HAHA. Hopefully all will be well on the day of our performance. Yes it will! :)

Went to join our class people at the marina square sakae after CO. Huijin, Amelia, Jarren, Shiang Nee, Hannah, Jessie and Melissa were there. They'd been there for 1 hour before I joined them lol. Haha they were asking me what time's our flight to Hong Kong this sunday cos they thought of sending me off, and I told them we have to be there by 6am. Obviously no one will be sending me LOL! Oh I met Zhou Mo at city hall mrt on my way back haha! She went there for some Melbourne university open house thing haha.

Lol I talked on the phone with Valerie for more than an hour just now! We were talking about our CCAs and stuff, and I must say she really knows a lot of things LOL. Cool. Yay, it's so nice talking to her. We'll just laugh and whine and complain about every single thing in the world lol! :D

I'm going to cut my hair tomorrow morning! With Yuqian and Lam Lee haha. Lam Lee's saying she'll see if she wants to wake up tomorrow, then she'll go. Such a mean friend eh! I told her that if she doesn't go with me tomorrow, I'll fly away to HK after that and she'll miss me, to which she gave a super sarcastic reply and I can't stop laughing now LOL!!! Ah I'll need to pray about my hair tonight HAHA.

Three cheers for the American Idol, David Cook! Yeah! :D :D :D And that concludes season 7 sigh. I love this season man, all that talent! This must be the most exciting finale I've watched, both popular and competent Davids standing an equal chance. They're both such great singers, Archuleta sings till my hair stands and Cook's just phenomenal. Haha! Ahh that means I'll have no more shows to watch anymore! All the way till the new seasons of Survivor and Amazing Race. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Alright, STUDY!

Hoho. Did I mention that I sent 1494 messages last month! I really wonder where did my msgs fly to. :/

Saturday, May 17, 2008

Haha this is a little late but yeah, soccer girls beat SAJC to become the national champions! Hurray! Yep, went down to support the match on wednesday and it was exciting! SA scored the first goal during the first half and VJ scored one during the second half. There remained a tie forever until they decided to have the penalty kicks. In which VJ won! It was such a heartwarming sight, the girls cheering so happily and the instructors rushing up to congratulate them.

Went to support the basketball guys and girls yesterday too. I realise it's quite fun watching the matches haha. I didn't go for a single one last year lol. Anyway, both the guys and girls lost to HCI. But everyone did their best, great job everyone! :D The girls' match was super exciting cos throughout, the scores were very, very close. VJ was leading initially until the end when HCI suddenly played sooooo rough and started shooting in so many goals. I must say, Liying's really good man! My goodness, all her imba three-pointers! Yinling, Chew Ping and Amelia played super well too! I was so touched by their team spirit yesterday haha. And I think the coach should stop yelling at them hah.

I think I'm not cut-out to go into the finance line haha. I attended the finance career talk with Jessie, and halfway through we got so bored we started playing Game of Life on her phone lol! I should have gone for the hospitality talk instead, it sounds more interesting. Haha Huijin and Joojoo say they can imagine me in that line, working in a hotel and interacting with people lol! Nah, I'm too shy. :D

Bio's honestly annoying the crap out of me. More specifically, the teacher. Why do the H1 people have to go for tutorial when the questions don't even concern us! On top of that, Mrs Lim still insists that we copy down the answers. I asked her why, and she said, "It's always better to learn more, right?" Yawn, there's a reason why we dropped bio to H1 okay! Anyway, I refused to copy wahahax.

Yesterday was the season finale of Survivor! Yay Parvati won! Poor Amanda, in both seasons, she played so well and made it all the way to the finale but she just couldn't play the jury. Wasted. But Parvati played a great game too, so she deserves to win! :D Ahh I'm suffering from the usual post-Survivor syndrome. And American Idol's coming to an end too! Nooooooooooooooo! Life's boring without reality shows. :( But I should study, yeah? Hahaha.

Lol. Look what I came across in Genius' blog! "I think the concert was fine, no major screw ups for me or anyone else, and Noble garnered herself a whole new fan club that is steadily increasing in size..........." LOL! I couldn't stop laughing when I read this hahaha. And I decided to kope some of her photos. :)
Cupcakes from the teachers! But I wonder whose idea was it to put those names on them! Haha it was so funny, they were giving out the cupcakes to everyone, one by one. They were calling, "Genius! Genius! Genius!" And there was still no answer. After some time, Zilu finally realised they were calling for her and she went, "Oh me, me!" LOL!!!!! I think we're special people, cos everyone else had their real names on the cupcakes lol!
Whee! Jason Mraz and Ryan Cabrera's new albums are great! Do listen to them! :D

I started to feel sick! (Yo! Please read my entry below first!)

Yeah I thought it was a lack of sleep or something, so I just went to school as per normal. I didn't feel too bad till I was up in the music room, when I felt quite feverish and super cold. But I wasn't sure if I had a fever yet. Until I was in the PT and I felt quite terrible, having body aches and all that nonsense and quite alot of people told me I felt feverish. Whoa I was totally dejected! Like of all times! I haven't had a fever in a super, super super long time and it had to come on concert day! First time ever man. Haha I was basically dying during the rehearsal cos of my body aches. What's more, they kept asking us to stand and sit, stand, sit, sit, stand. And I was very annoyed cos the PA crew always seeemed to be lagging and I ended up standing so long lol.

Haha I went to the general office to get panadol, and the person refused to give me but instead told me to go see a doctor. I was shocked when I heard that lol. Fiona wanted to go to 7-11 to buy panadol for me, but she met her friend and her friend happened to have extra strong panadol for all the aches lol. Fiona's friend is my saviour! Haha. Yep I felt better after eating the panadol, at least I didn't ache so much. And, I didn't tumble down the stairs during Canon in D lol.

Our rehearsal seemed to take an eternity. After the effects of the panadol wore off, I started feeling crappy again and I was moaning and moaning. And I had no strength to play my solos lol. Luckily for Guo Laoshi's understanding, he said those who weren't feeling well can rest. Haha!

I think I had less than 10 scoops of rice for dinner. I was quite hungry, yet I had no appetite cos I needed something light. Yet I had to eat, otherwise I'll start shivering during my long notes. Haha thankfully I didn't! Anyway, I was thinking that everything will be okay in the end, cos God is always there for me! Haha Valerie told me a verse just now, "We are more than conquerers...." can't really remember the second half oops. But yeah, I was inspired by that! And I knew that God will help me! :)

I wasn't feeling all that great when the concert started, but whoa, the moment I saw familiar faces, Sharon, Joo, Huijin, Jessie, Audrey Han, Huijin, Yuqian, Lam Lee, Cristal, I all of a sudden perked up! I told Zilu that I felt so energized when I saw them haha. Audrey's so funny, she suddenly stood up, waved and said, "HI RUTH!" LOL!!!!! Thank you to my fan club for calling my name! LOL nah kidding. Sharon, Joo, Huijin and Jessie! Not bad, quite loud eh! Hahaha =D

I thought my first few items weren't that great, especially tuo ling. But I've got no regrets, cos I did my best haha! Valerie said I looked like I was dying LOL. I think I did better for the second half. I felt more refreshed haha! And I didn't expect Guo Laoshi to ask Mingcong and me to stand up for ju hua tai. I looked down the stage and I saw Ms Wong clapping super enthusiastically and at that moment I was thinking, "omg, here's such a nice teacher whose work I never ever do!" and I felt so guilty but touched at the same time. But really, Ms Wong's really a nice and cool teacher! Haha I felt quite overcome with emotions during the last few songs. My tears were like coming out and going in LOL. Yeah, I think we really did a good job! =) Oh btw, anyone realised I forgot one line of Canon? I managed to make it harmonise though! Hehe

Thanks everyone for coming, and for all the gifts! Thank you Huijin, Sharon, Joo and Jessie for the big bird balloon whose head can nod LOL, thank you Audrey for the chocolate and for saying you're honoured to be my friend (I'm honoured!), thank you Xianghong, Jobina and Rouhui for the flowers, thank you Yuqian, Lam Lee and Cristal for the huge nemo balloon (Zilu saw it from her seat and started commenting on it LOL), Jolie, Wing Sum and Flora for the flower petals (everyone has 1 but I have 3 cos they say the SL deserves more! LOL) and OF COURSE, thank you VALERIE for the 3-page letter which I really read before going on stage and I was so, so, so touched I tear-ed but didn't cry cos there were too many people in the CO room haha, and for the chocolates too! And thank you everyone who came, Mingyao, Yilin, Jeenise, Xiaoxue................ and all the DHSCO people! :)

Haha! Just now this Hwa Chong guy came to talk to me and asked if I knew him. Apparently he knows me, but I currently can't think of anyone I might know hmm. I'm sorry, my brain's quite useless today, I'll recall when I'm better! Hehe. Oh, and Jonathan's friend, I think his name is Lemuel, came to talk to me twice saying that he thinks I play well and he's impressed by my vibrato! Huijin and the rest happened to be there and they said that I've got admirers and today when I get home, 50 people will add me on friendster LOL! Omg that's super amusing! But really, thank you everyone for everything!

Roar I brought up a drink and panadol, now my drink's almost finished but I haven't touched my panadol. Don't feel like eating hehe! I should sleep soon. But I shall watch Survivor first! Hahaha.

And once again, I can't thank you guys enough but yeah, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!!! :) :) :)
